I've been minding my own business of late, busy with a move to a new house because my wife wants to be closer to our kids, who both live in Corona, CA. We gladly babysit our grandson Troy often, but the hour-long drive between our current home and my son's house is draining. A couple of months ago, my daughter announced that she is pregnant, due at the end of the year...so naturally my wife started shopping for a house near the kids. It didn't take her long and now we are in the process of adding some finishing touches to the new house and getting our existing house ready to sell.

I told MACS that we are moving so I could be closer to him so we would be able to herf more often...please don't tell him the real reason...

...anyways, I was taking care of business when my wife yells out, "You have a package from Harvey Haines in Connecticut!"

Whatda? Whodat? I didn't order anything from anybody recently...

Then I look at the SFR, pick it up, and it dawns on me...hmm...Hmhaines...sonuvabitch. Inside the box is an exquisite and hefty solid steel cube-shaped ashtray. Harvey included a note saying he wanted "to have some fun chucking a bomb your way."

This was a shotput more than a chuck.

Here's a link to Harvey's Big Purple Barn website, and a pix of the 4.25" x 4.25," 2lb 9oz ashtray:

It will be prominently displayed and used in a smoking room/man cave I am planning.

Thanks! I love the angle iron I used for all of the bombs, a sexy material to work with. Does some sweet stuff, damned fun to weld, and heavy as hell.
