Sharty told me to tell everyone the following because he can't:

"
Cbid has not shipped my order after two weeks. They have not refunded my money. They have banned me from the forums and when I attempt to log into the site at all I get "Error 789. Contact customer service." Of course customer service is closed until Monday.

I'm going to be contacting my bank to initiate a chargeback and I'm going to be posting on all the other cigar forums never to do business with this company.

Over 10 years here.......I'm calling bullschit,in no way shape or form did they steal your money. There is obviously a reason for your dilemma. If you contact customer service Monday I'm sure they will straighten it out.Going off the deep end before you've researched this just makes you look a fool.

Perhaps your best course of action could be to call customer service cancel the order and request a refund. Also, posting here is most likely pointless, few if any care.

The big issue of course would be collecting from them as I am in California and they're in Pennsylvania. The odds of me getting my money back are pretty slim which is why I'm so angered by this whole situation.

Sharty you ignorant AZZ......the chances of you recovering, either your order or a refund,is almost Guarenteed. Some of us have been doing business here a long long time.Call Shana Monday........in the meantime shut the **** up.

If you're truly a lawyer you should be paying Cali prices for aged Opus X and lighting them with $100 bills.I also think you would have approached this from a more constructive angle.

Son - you are a lawyer like Al Sharpton is a Reverend.....only in you own mind. Stop being an Arse and cool your flames until you can call CS on Monday and speak with a Rep about a refund. Until then go crawl back in your lair and stop embarrassing yourself. Your not that important.

On many different occasions you mentioned that Sharty was a friend (even enclosed friend in quotes on another thread). You mentioned that he bought them and he was missing out on a refund.

And yet, you say you're not getting your money back...

Well, what is it?

That, my friend, is called lawyered.

However, should you actually be a lawyer, and passed a Bar, then you have horrible attention to detail and should know that lying can, in many cases, catch your pants on fire.

Wait.
Did you say "Error 789"??

Dude!
That's the code used to block those ordering from their parents basement.
And that wasn't a credit card. It was your old Blockbuster membership card.

Which reminds me: you should really return The Crying Game soon...

I smoke a fair amount of cigars - probably a box per week, this time of year - and lately it seems like I've been buying more than I smoke. So, between cigars for me and other purchases for gifts, I've spent some money with CBid over the last few years. Up until the GSE thing they had back ordered one item on me ... ONE ITEM. Everything else has shown up when it was supposed to. No errors, no screwups, no late shipments -- just boring competence, week after week. And when I emailed to ask about that one back ordered item, I got an answer within an hour or two. My item arrived a few days later, with free shipping.

Bottom line? If these guys are crooks, they're going about it all wrong. So, if they tell me they're having trouble filling my GSE order, I'm willing to cut them some slack. Not because I'm a "CBid fanboy," but because they've earned it.

One time, CigarBid stole my money.

But they sent me some cigars on the following Tuesday, so I was fine with it.
