While on vacation at the beach, my buddy Larry and I hooked up with NJ Navy Chief and drove to Ocean City NJ to visit a great little shpo.
Here is my haul.
(And yes . . . That is plume on the Anejos)

Some pretty dingy looking cello. They're prolly rotten. Send them all to Jamie for proper disposal.

Haven't tried the Casa yet, even though the local carries them. Everything looks good, though!

No problem, my friend.
There will be other times.
We're not quite done with the shore just yet.

I would have to agree.
Plume appears on the surface of tobacco, not on cedar or satin ribbon.

I'm going to have to take your word for it because that REALLY looks like mold in the picture. Hope it isn't. Pray

The picture may be a bit deceiving, but trust me, tj . . . The owner of the shpo takes METICULOUS care of his cigars.

I have had a lot of fuentes and have never been inspired to venture to try the casa cuba. Worth the effort? Flavor profile?

Pricey, but not so much to keep me from buying 3 of them.
Flavor profile? Ask Conan . . . he is much better at reviews than I.

It has a old school profile, worth the coin if you like medium cigars with outstanding flavor.

The casa Cuba for me are hit and miss. Bought a 5er when they first came out and was not impressed, actually first one was pretty much an airball. Saw them in my local a few months back and figured to give them another try and I really enjoyed it. All the ones I have tried had the prerelease a band on it. Figure maybe time did a lot of wonders for this line.

I'm not really a very good reviewer; however, Jamie's post nails it.

TamTom - if the medium strength is still within your wheelhouse, you ought to at least try a couple. Small warning / disclaimer - if you're more of a maduro guy, then the Casa's may not be as enjoyable to you as they are to others.

I like a medium with lots of flavor. Had just figured i had liked older vitolas of fuente so no need to try another fuente. Like maduro but also like natural. You guys have given me enough of an excuse to try.
