I'm looking for a cocktail to serve after dinner with cigars . Any suggestions?

Good bourbon over ice.
Good, darker, barrel-aged scotch......not one too peaty.

Years ago I had a White Russian (yeah, chick drink.....whatever!) a bit heavier on the Kahlúa and lighter on the vodka than "normal" ......dang good with a cigar.

+1 on an old fashion.
Sherried scotch, good bourbon, or aged rum.
I had bourbon on the rocks with a splash of root beer and a dash or two of bitters, you're not going to impress any one but it was damn tasty with a cigar.

Substitute Cheerwine for root beer.

I wonder if an espresso martini would work...

Mid level smokey scotch like a Johnny Black. I'll drink the good scotch with a mild flavor cigar only.

Still not a huge bourbon guy, but I've found a few I like. Prefer to drink it sweet with a cigar. Wife loves old fashioned, so often it's that. Other times I'll lightly mash a plum, cherries, peach or nectarine and pour bourbon over it

Fernet is an apertif if anything.

What's on the menu? That usually determines my cocktail selection.

Thunder.Gerbil is right, Fernet-Branca (with cola) is the correct answer.

Seriously, try it if you haven't. Its one of the great forgotten cigar pairings.

Actually it's a digestif. Served post meal.

ThumpUp I don't drink sodas, but that is a good combo.

Hell I've always drank fernet before I ate because it made me more hungry. I like Fernet Stock the best though, that stuff will tear your mind out. I can't get enough

On my next trip to Japan, I’mma gonna load up on this stuff! That and Blanton’s SFTB…if it’s still at a reasonable price.
