List Revised

Looking to get a nice pipe tobacco cellar going and I'd like to send out some of my handmade steel/glass stuff in exchange for a bunch of tasty leafy bits.

Specifically, I'd like to end up with some or all of the below:

Pound of C&D Izmir Turkish
Half Pound McClelland 5100 Red Cake
Half Pound of Gawith Hoggarth & Co. Dark Bird's Eye
Half Pound of McClelland Perique
Half Pound of Esoterica Penzance

I'm also interested in finding a nice Peterson pipe, estate or new.

If you're up for sending any of the above, let me know and I'll get something made for you! Herfing

Harvey

That Esoterica Penzance will be hard to come by, I would help you out if I could but don't have any of what your looking for.

Harvey, would a Peterson St. Patty's Day 2010 unsmoked do? I have one on my shelf. Fishtail stem.

I wish i could help on the baccy side. I have a bunch of blending perique, but it is C&D's, not McC. I have a couple jars of HBB from 2010, but not in the quantity you want.

Anyway, I do gots a pipe if you want it.

Harvey, whatever you do, DO NOT trust a word Jules says.

That one Peterson pipe will come safely packed in a box at least 4-5 times too big, but there won't be any way it will slosh around.

She is not to be trifled with. The carnage out of Moose Manor has devastated many a B/SOTLs neighborhood and led to postal service understaffing due to injuries, trauma and shock.

Just sayin' you're gonna need extra mason jars and a coolerdor ready to go for "a pipe".

I asked for ONE TIN of pipe baccy and a few cigars on one of the PIB/Wants which is supposed to be a fiver. The final count was multiple tins of pipe baccy and probably 30+ cigars.

I dunno, it took me about 16 hours to inventory my pipe baccy in mason jars the past week in the basement. And I have a secondary stash in my office I haven't gotten to yet. I have more in purchased tins than even that. At the rate I smoke I would have to live about 5 lifetimes to maybe finish it all. I think that might actually count as too much.

And then I see something new come along and I really want to try it…

Welcome to the wonderful world of PTAD, my friend! whip

Gonz Sounds like you've got almost enough, there.

What do you go for, usually? I imagine you've got a pretty wide selection if it took that long to catalog, but what's your favorite blend type? Company?

It changes from month to month, and is also seasonal. But here are some that are always good. Pretty much anything by SG or GH. Rattray's HOTW and Old Gowrie. H & H Anni Kake. It will be interesting to see how you like those three with age on them.

C&D Crooner is an interesting change of pace. Autumn Evening is my fav aromatic. Grumpie's is Nutty Irishman. Night Train & Briar Fox.

PS Luxury Twist Flake.

See, I could keep going.

Oh, and Kendal KY and La Brumeuse.

I've got some SG Squadron Leader, haven't tried that yet but I am excited to. Had several good kinds from GH, though.

Crooner has Deertongue in it, I've not seen that tobacco in anything else. Tried to find some for sale but nobody had it solo.

C&D's Izmir Turkish is nice, has a bit of a cedar flavor. I'm planning on mixing it with Perique and Dark Fired Kentucky. Mmmmm.

See? SEE? "All" does not equal one pipe. "All" means a group of items, every one of them, none left out.

Nice knowing you, Harvey.

Before you die, post a picture up cause our misery loves company. There's moose tracks all over this forum.

Applause Applause Applause to Jules.

Oh, we are definitely even now! Got your end yesterday, Harvey.

The originally requested item was one of his metal desk pencil holders. This one with grumpie's initials on it in braille is so cool!

And we would have been totally happy with that as that is what we agreed upon. But then he tosses in earrings. And a recycled blue glass cabochon.

A rail spike ashtray! Have you been lusting after one of those? Yeah, us too. Sweet!

He sent me the biggest pipe nail I have even seen. Heck, it is bigger than most of my pipes. Not all, but most. Only Harvey would think to make a pipe nail out of a rail spike. (okay, it is cool, but does it have an intended purpose?)

Two guitar picks. Did you make them? Time for some bass practice!

And then a smaller metal tray that is roughly the size of a paperclip/toothpick holder.

Grumpie is finding the perfect spots for your awesome functional art. And yes, we are definitely even. You got some aged baccy and a pipe. I made my grumpie happy. Win, win! Thank you!

Glad you're happy! The mini railroad spike has no function other than to be interesting. And sometimes opening and closing paint cans.

The picks are made out of old vinyl records. (Ones that were ruined when I got them.)

Enjoy everything, I know I will! Started breaking in the pipe yesterday!
