I have seen several references to a premium 5er. That to me is kind of ambiguous. my definition of premium could be different than your premium. I am asking this because I hesitate to jump on some of these type of threads.
Any thoughts on this.
My premiums would be:
Padron Annys, LP's, Fuentes. La Aurora Preferidos, Ashtons. MF, just to name a few.
(Still recuperating & have not had a cigar since Jan. 13, 2016).

Saying Fuente is like saying Chevy. It could be a Chevette or a Corvette but I think most of us agree somewhat that a premium is at the middle to upper price point of the typical line.

I'm talking OpusX, Anejo's, Don Carlos & other Fuente 'premiums'

Padron 50th
Tat pork tenderloin
Opus X BBMF maduro
Tat Barclay Rex
Tat T110

That'd be what I'd expect for a premium 5er.

All seems very arbitrary to me as well. I have found that posting a minimum MSRP and specifying NO GURKHAS is the safest way to avoid confusion . . . To some people $8 MSRP and up will be a premium, others $15, and others $20.

In my eyes a cigar $8- 13 is premium. Over 13 and you are looking at super premium. Then there are your HTF and Unicorns which are in a class by themselves.

There is a little variation to the action though. I might say a cbid 5er and then send a premium 5er. Depends on the person, circumstances, etc.

If DP Newell was unable to get it for under $5, it's a "premium".....

RIP DP...

The man doesn't know a quality football team, but he does know his cigars.
I'll give him THAT.
