It seems that every time he surges, he sticks his foot in his mouth.

He cannot help himself shut his own mouth. As far as being a MC, I just saw an ad touting he is going to implement mandatory maternity leave. Wonder if he affords his current employees with that benefit...

yet oddly enough, every time he sticks his foot in his mouth his popularity surges.

though we now may be seeing his final frantic attempt at avoiding the Presidency.

Some of those "foot in mouth" moments were nothing of the sort.
Trump says something, the left misquote or misconstrue and then over react, and it emboldens his base.

Take the "shoot someone in times square" example.
I still hear idiots say "trump claims he could kill someone in times square".
And when I say "idiots", I mean moon bat sheet for brain morons.
In a nice way.

Of course, some other "foot in mouth" moments are cringe worthy.

I honestly never heard nor read a word about the Times Square quote! Fairly remote example of The Donald's moronic, embarrassing, insulting statements.

I'm talking about the stuff that we all see, well documented, taped and easily verified statements. There are soooo many. He simply is too smart for these to be accidents. And I do believe he is extremely bright. I love him outside of the threat of his being our leader!

Anyone paying attention has to figure he is trying to tell them he isn't worthy of nor does he desire the Presidency of the greatest country on Earth.

Remote example?
It was front page for weeks. It overshadowed all his other stupid quotes for almost a month.
CNN drilled it down the throats of the masses, and I still hear it quoted on occasion.

I was wrong. It was 5th Ave, not Times Square.
But if you google it you'll see the quotes imply (or state outright) that Trump makes the claim. You have to dig deep to learn he was paraphrasing what others said.

But more important, it was merely one example of the constant over reaction.

Maybe we could talk about his quotes regarding Mexicans. Or more accurately, Illegal immigrants.
Too bad the distinction is lost on the left.

I guess, from what I heard, he lost a billion in '95.. tax laws allow you to right that loss off over 18 years... I lost about 50 grand about 7 years ago and got to right that off over 5 years... the law doesn't just benefit the super rich... Mellow

Drafter, connect the dots.......it isn't about Trump losing 960 million and the tax laws. It's about Tump not showing his tax returns when that is SOP for presidential candidates. Now we know the likely reason why. If so Trump has lied again. Since he claimed that he couldn't show the tax returns due to an audit, which we know is not true according to the law.

Well, gotta remember that his future decisions won't be unchecked... even executive orders can be questioned and overridden... Hillary has the same of course.. but the current administration sure seems to have a **** load of power right now..

yup. People complaining about runaway Prez powers do have the local elections to neutralize it if they vote wisely.

I'm afraid that we will end up with basically the same group of idiots that we are presently blessed with.

Trump is too rich, too big a business success, and now too old to be anyone's Manchurian Candidate. I honestly believe he's running out of a combination of desire to "give something back" to his country -- and his undisputedly "yuge" ego. I can't fault him for having a big ego -- _every_ politician beyond the local level (and even a lot of those) has one, but most try to hide it somewhat while Trump revels in his.

I took a pretty yuge loss in 94-95 on some reits if my portfolio had been focused on real estate I'd have lost more . Right in that time the traditional real estate financing dried up partially due to the big banks being able to operate in diverse investments due their aquistion of insurance companies . They were circumventing the provisions of Glass Stegall that should have foforeshadowed shadowed the the risk of de regulating the banks which caused tha recession of 2008 I had a carry over loss from it .

I have no idea why he isn't showing his taxes but unlike a professional politician he didn't make millions while on a public servers salary .
