And yes the republicans chose to run trump. Simply a fact.

The voters chose him.
the Republican party did everything they could to try to prevent it.

I'm glad it's Trump, because the others are nothing more than Hillary-lite.
I laugh at the outcry surrounding Trump. He's a dolt, but with our built in checks and balances I'm OK with a 4 year shake up of our system down in DC.

Sure, you can vote FOR Hillary if you like. Many of us are just partisan sheep. I get it. But don't tell me your hillary vote is just an anti-Trump vote. Because you're a liar, or a hypocrite, or simply lack the intestinal fortitude to make things happen.

And just to be clear: F*ck Hillary.
That stench hole belongs behind bars.

According to Rush and Hannity and Drudge, etc....there are no checks, nor balances....Obama has cracked the code

IDK, X....while I've made it clear that I'll never vote for Clinton, I can imagine the risk assessment comparison:

I imagine that by 2020, an HRC presidency will almost certainly have a net negative, but probably not disastrously so...Republican congress will prevent any lasting serious damage

A Trump presidency could go anywhere from 'Ok..not bad, some shake up in dc was good'...to 'Holy ****, wth were we thinking, all out war, civil unrest and a tanked economy'

Just maybe, the 'fairly certain, somewhat bad' is actually better than the 'maybe good, maybe end of the world'

I didn't say the republican leadership. I said the republicans. The party is the people and they are the ones that voted for trump.

The republicans through their primaries chose to run trump. It's funny how some want to back off that.

If trump wins in the General the American people chose trump. In the case of the primaries it was the republicans.

And mostly drafter.

Your thought process is very divisive.
But you'll probably drone on about that too.

I must be missing something on the divisive part. The parties use the primaries to chose their candidate and the conventions to formalize.

The republicans chose trump, the dems Clinton. It seems pretty fact based to me.

Both candidates are polarizing, and you are harping on the "you're repblican therefore YOU put trump on the ballot".
Which isn't necessarily true.
It could have been the Independents (Unenrolled) that put trump on the R ticket.
Either way, you want to pigeon hole anyone who is registered a certain way, and in this instance it doesn't really hold much water.
The people who are sick and tired of the same old same old are the ones who put Trump on the ballot.
be they Republican or Independent.
But it wasn't "the republicans" as a whole, because the leadership of that party was dead set against it.

Trump won the republican nomination.
It's semantics (sorry Frank), but it's not the same thing that you're stating.
In a black and white world, maybe. But we live in the grey.
Any self respecting fence sitter should recognize that.

And ended. Other than me teasing drafter. I don't really think he chose trump in the primaries any more than I think you take it in the badonkadonk.

The republicans did choose to run trump though.

I still think it's funny anyone would argue with the fact the republicans chose to run trump or even that it's remotely controversial. They simply did.

Or that for awhile the vote was split 17 ways. It's hard to get past 50% which he didn't get close to in most states.

So less than 50% of individuals voting g in the republican primaries voted for him but indeed the Republican Party chose to run trump.

Lol.

You also know I was just giving you **** as a matter of course.

But the statement I made that tcby disagreed with isn't particularly controversial or arguable. It's arguing another point all together. My statement didn't say any individual chose him. The party did though.

Illinois has open primaries, you tell the election judge which party's ballot you'd like.
No registering required.
