There are a lot of national holidays now. Today is supposed to be National Arthritis Day. I'm wondering if we really need to celebrate something every day (or if all these days are just marketing ploys). I'm sure someone needs to sell more product or promote this thing or another.

In keeping with that spirit of self-serving aggrandizement I am declaring that today is also National Send Big_Bear A Cigar day.

This is a festive day set aside for Adrian to mooch on this forum.

Official PSA:

We invite you to join us for the 2016 National Send Big_Bear A Cigar day, a celebration of all that he is. Thousands of cigar smokers, dancers, and music enthusiasts from across the globe honor him as a movement to renew friendships and celebrate the joyful spirit that we call Big_Bear. The holiday has been observed annually since this year to commemorate this gift God gave to the world. With an exciting array of entertainment, cultural and athletic events, it is sure to grow into one of the largest festivals, attracting more than 100,000 virtual participants from across the world.

This multi-day celebration is jam-packed with sports activities for all ages, from traditional games such as tic-tac-toe, the bamboo blowgun competition to the more familiar golf and softball tournaments. Cigar enthusiasts celebrate by sending an offering to the festivals namesake.

What's the difference between paella and grits? About $7 per serving.

Focus everyone.....

I'm gonna save postage and give him one at the herf in April. To make absolutely sure it's a good one, I'll pre-smoke it.

Well poop, how did I miss this?! Can somebody remind me earlier next year so I can celebrate?

Like Mandoman I will have to make up for this year next April. His suggestion for quality control is excellent and I shall consider following his lead. I would never, ever want to pass a bad cigar to Adrian.

Grumpie was devastated when she found out that we missed all the hoopla. Angel
