Looks like UTC or Carrier out-negotiated the Orange anus. They got a $7 million break from Indiana and still got to lay off 1300 workers and send some work to Mexico. Trump says he saved over 1,000 jobs - but of those 1,100 jobs that will stay in Indiana, 300 were staying anyway.

I dunno. I personally think if you are looking for something bad here you are desperate and on the wrong side of the fence.

Trump will do plenty to bitch about. If you are starting with this one he's got you where he wants you and you will be totally marginalized and your bitchingvwill fall on deaf ears because its indiscriminate. Your troll lost. Get a grip with it.

Is it bad when liberal governors give tax breaks for businesses to locate to their state?

Oh wait.....then they're called "incentives".....

Taxation is theft.

im dumbfounded by the initial post
im not ready to crown trump but
i thought more people working is better than less
i thought that companies operating in our country is better than them relocating

if im a governor in a rust belt state im giving every tax break i can to businesses in hopes they will set up shop here and employ my citizens

haters gonna hate

Yeah... I'm not sure we need to castigate the most divisive president elect ever over this deal... I don't know if it is a great deal or a bad one... and I'm not even sure how much influence he even had. But it certainly sounds like a standard sort of deal companies make with states. Not a hill I'd really care to die on.

The most divisive president elect ever has already done way worse than this and I'm pretty sure we'll have better things to judge him negatively on in the future. This is a big meh to me too. I'm sure the people working are pretty happy.

Being the "most divisive President elect" doesn't actually say anything about that person ... it does say a lot about the weakness of people who can so easily be divided by the words - not even actions, just words - of one man...

Pretty sure that same statement could have been made in the past 8 years... but it wasn't.

I'm gonna enjoy talking about the most divisive president elect ever (and eventually the most divisive president ever) for the next 4 years...

I wonder.....if people (enough people?) call him 'divisive' loud enough and publicly enough...if the perception that he's divisive doesn't increase...jus wondering...

Supposing that divisive is a bad quality in a president....and even that is an assumption I've not fully thought out....

IDK...the divisive word gets tossed around a lot. I know that the campaign seemed to leverage divisiveness to some extent (large extent?) to get him elected. But, I'm not fully sold on the 'fact' that Trump is (and will be) divisive. I think that he can be divisive when he thinks its in his best interest....but on the other hand, I think that he'd rather people come together to accomplish something.

But, I do suspect that the more people call him divisive...the more that he will be perceived as such....so, is that part of your master plan, Victor?

Actually, it was the master plan of the Republicans for the past 8 years. I'm just having fun with it for the next 4.

I don't have to, the 1300 that are still losing their jobs will tell them.

Bernie's solution would have been better, cheaper and more effective.

Which direction do you place your liberal prayer rug while genuflecting to your (mainstream) media puppet masters?

that's actually my point exactly... who cares? you can't put bread on your table cuz the president elect made a claim you think is false? Al gore claimed to have come up with the idea for the internet... did the walls of your house collapse when that happened? It in no way, shape, or form had any effect on you or your well being and neither will this...

Whether true or not, look at the OP.
He's blaming Trump for something that
A. isn't exactly bad
and
B. Isn't completely under his control.

But it was Tonygraz, so maybe that's an unfair example...

I had just read a report about a speech seemingly indicating Palin disagrees with Trumps handling of Carrier. I take no issue with Carrier and usually disagree with Palin. So the world is right.

In my Kanye voice

Let's see... I am white, I am ugly..... white male privelage? Wonder what that feels like.

I do like fish sticks though
