Hey Everybody,

It's finally starting to cool off here in South Texas so I'm fixing to start building up my humidor again and enjoying some smokes. Haven't really kept up much with new releases or pricing so I was wondering what is a decent cheap cigar I can give to friends who don't really know the difference in cigars so I can keep the good ones for myself and other B.O.T.L. and S.O.T.L.

Thanks,

If you got a ton of mooching buddies, you might need to get the Platinum Membership.

Have smoked Añejo while mowing, can confirm best yard gar.

I'll second that, especially the Cohibas in the glass top box.

Gurkhas cheap? Pfffttt....have you seen their MSRP? Usually about $99.99 per stick, unless you're lucky enough to catch them on one of their rare sales at 95% off.Whistle

Depending how much room you have to store them but Ashton Premium House Selection are good. I tried the natural so that's all I can speak on but it's a a nice nutty somewhat creamy light tabacoo flavor.

There are some good bundles here like the Oliva and Aurora 2nds are decent and inexpensive for friends.

Good to see ya post brother. Hope all is well and I see you are in TX. Explains why we haven't seen you in these parts lately.

Take care and Merry Christmas.

Shhhh!!! I'm usually the only one on here rambling on about the Ashton premium house selections and how good they are. The sungrowns are my favorite. The maduros are good too but I prefer a darker maduro preferably a cbl wrapper. For $2.99 each at my local they are hard to beat.

This was my thought exactly. You can't suggest a cigar without knowing how much he wants to spend per cigar. Then again, if you only buy on this site, the price will fluctuate obviously.

Real friends, that smoke cigars, even infrequently, get the best stuff I can offer.
It's all those other "friends", like semi drunk friends of my son, who when hanging around the fire pit at night are hitting me up for a cigar...................those friends get a yard gar..............if I'm in a good mood.

Ahhh the"friends" yes those guys get the overflow humi.

My real friends that don't smoke cigars still get the good stuff. Don't want to turn them off to cigars due to one bad cigar experience.

Just my opinion and whatnot.

That's a smokin deal literally. Sale still on? If so message me where if it was online.

Don't mention competitors names on here they frown on giving free advertising to other places that's why I asked you to message me.

I agree with the comments on giving friends good cigars. I want my friends to get into cigars, so I always give them the same things I am smoking. Not that I have a bunch of junk cigars (IMO) anyways.

Probably my favorite cheap cigar is the 601 Steel Spike (7 x 50). Great on flavor, strength and length. That cigar never gets old for me. And another thing, they are great OTT. Actually, I think they taste better with less age, if that's possible. I don't usually have many, if any, last that long, so I haven't successfully tested that. Another thing with this line, I have not had a bad one yet, and the robusto is very decently priced (have some in my humi right now). A great cheap smoke to always have on hand.

I like schizo maduro, rm101 connie bogo on ci, and rosa cuba to give out to mooching friends. Dark, light, and medium. Thing is, i find myself smoking them frequently myself. So if i can smoke them, shizznit its good enough for my 'friends'.

I second the couple of people that mentioned the Gran Habano Vintage 2002.

They are impressive looking in their cedar sleeve. Taste pleasant, burn well, not that strong, and don't last a super long time. I would never give a friend a bad cigar, but not going to hand over a Padron to someone that has never smoked much.

What's even better is I don't mind smoking one either with the guests or out on the golf course or the boat where I would not smoke something expensive or special. I watch for special deals on them and keep a couple 5ers in the humi.
