FWIW, I simply cannot understand why whether someone may or may not be racist has a bearing on the hearings which is the topic of this thread.

Victor, if you want to hump Carl's leg. Do it in the appropriate thread.

Here I started one for you.

Serious question, Victor... would you move to Chicago right now? No bullsh*t about your job doesn't allow it, or you prefer warm climates... would you purposefully subject yourself to the sh*thole Chicago has become? My guess is the answer is no.

Perhaps you missed the special needs white kid that was tortured and beaten by 4 black people in Chicago... while they laughed, live streamed it on the internet, and called him racist names and even shouted, "F**k Donald Trump, ****! F**k white people, boy! F**k white people, boy!"

I don't blame Carl for moving away from a bad neighborhood. If it was the actions of the black people in that neighborhood that made it bad... why is he racist for saying that was the reason?

I'd live in Chicago no problem. I was trying to get a job there 10 years ago. I lived in the burbs for a summer (crappy burbs) and went into the city almost every weekend to stay with my friend.

Chicago isn't a ****hole, plain and simple. It's a large city. And any large city will have a lot of stories about criminal acts. That doesn't mean you're likely to get beaten and put on Facebook. Do you even know what the violent crime rate in Chicago is normalized by population in comparison to other cities? It's about the same as SF and less than DC. I considered dc very safe.

As for moving his family to safety? No problem. I moved neighborhoods because I was sick of the smell of **** and piss. But I didn't say "I'm tired of the smell of **** and pissed so I'm going to try to move to a neighborhood with as few black people ". Seriously.

And most of the crime in his "mostly black" neighborhood was mostly committed by blacks? Wow. That's a shocker. If someone decided all whites must be criminals because they knew of some crimes committed by whites you'd cry racism in a second. It's kind of part of the definition of it.

I lived there for a short time in 87-88, when I was in boot camp/school. I have no desire to return.

I lived in Chicago for a year. It was nice. I did not go to dangerous neighborhoods. Loved the food, bars, and ladies there.

What was the cause of my kids and family's bullying & discrimination? The black neighborhood.
What was the cause of the smell of **** and piss??? The black neighborhood.
For our safety, quality of life, and to further avoid the smell of **** and piss I moved as far away from the cause as possible.

Seriously, if you're too stupid to comprehend, understand, and respect that, then it's on you. F8ck off!

Seeing as I've seen white people **** and piss on the sidewalk in SF, it appears cacmans assessment that moving away from the blacks will solve that problem is inaccurate. I wonder how it could be possible that he could be wrong.

Seriously... this is kind of disgusting but funny at the same time. Like a train of clowns going off the cliff.

Thank you Al... and thank you Victor for admitting you're wrong... and thank you MACS for forever recording the moment in history...

While i have the attention of all 3 of my fellow West coasters, I'm thinking strongly about chartering the fastest Sportfishing boat on the central coast in April or May... I've got about 10 guys loosely committed, no dates set yet, want about 20 guys to keep the cost good but the space plentiful... the captain smokes cigars when i bring them to him and he's a great guy, great crew, and all 3 of you should strongly consider coming... just wanted to plant the seed now and this is easier than 3 pm's...

MACS and I would be driving north from SoCal to Morro Bay. Bur, xibbumbero and Buddha Daddy are also in this area...don't know if they fish, though...Be very cool if Abrignac can make it...

Thread jack off:

What is epic is Trump's continued denial that Russian meddling during our election (more than just hacking and releasing information: also putting out misinformation, false stories) is a serious threat to our national security. His statement that the Russians tried but couldn't defeat the Republican NC's and his campaign's anti-hacking defenses speaks volumes about his self-centered motives and his lack of concern about our country's sovereignty. The intelligence report clearly stated that the Russians did hack into their systems but CHOSE not to use that info/data.

I'm increasingly worried that Trump will view every crisis hitting America from the same "how does this affect me and my empire" lens.

I think we'd be hearing this.. and The Donald had already indicated he'd question the process if he lost.
Looks like it would have been a double secret investigation.

Trump threatened to question the voting process.
The Russian hack scandal didn't affect the voting process. The polls weren't cooked. There was no evidence of voter fraud or ballot stuffing.
Their hacking simply revealed the dark secrets of the DNC.

Russia should be b1tch slapped. But the DNC hanged themselves.

no voting irregularities, no hacked machines, yes hacked emails...both real and false though. False news stories too. Not enough to sway most committed voters, maybe the dim among us were persuaded, no way to ever know.

what I take as the goal of their efforts seems to being proven by Trump's Russia-connected appointments. all else aside, this was unlikely to happen if Clintonl or Sanders won.

nah, subtler stuff meant more to make Americans have doubts in the process, create unrest, than to destroy any single person.

sort of beside the point. it was more than email hacking.

and Donald did his own mudwork during the primaries...hard to say if he had any subtle help from his pals

Hey I didn't write that. I was hacked!

see how easy it is to do? Like I could have sworn I saw the real Donald on TV promise to tell us what he knows about hacking and stuff that other people don't know Tuesday or Wednesday this past week...now we know the Ruskies can post false holograms, either that or it was him and he lied...or bluffed.

I'm still waiting for the moment where we get to see "evidence" or "proof" of russian hacking...

“Putin and the Russian Government aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him,”

that was the most damning thing released to date... a completely opinionated statement void of any evidence to back up the opinion... how is anyone convinced russia had anything to do with this?
