As most of you know, almost all Viajes since 2011 have been schitt compared to the early years. I used to buy them all but now only a couple of boxes a year over the past couple of years. I am usually disappointed and give most of them away.

Viaje just released the Hair of the Dog. It's a single store release that you can google and find.

From the WLP line it is a 4 x 52 with a Broadleaf wrapper. I got two boxes in a couple of days ago and I am smoking the first one right now and it is excellent.

Great burn, great smoke production, great flavor. This reminds me of the 2009-2011 Viajes. Only 150 boxes made.

I would post a pic but I suck at it on this site. I may email the box to Carl and let him post it.

The WLP line has been pretty good the past few years but I haven't found a single one outside of that I have liked since 2012.

The 2009 Holiday blend robustos and the WLP SS's from 3-4 years ago are still the best Viajes I have ever tried.

I stopped seeking out Viaje when the box of Samurais I purchased literally exploded out of their wrappers in the box. I managed to save most of them by salvaging wrapper of one or two of the worst then glueing it on with pectin, but what a PITA. A real shame since the cigars tasted very good and smoked well otherwise.
