So I watched a few minutes of the Jeff Sessions hearing. Franken started his turn by going on a diatribe of Trump. When he was done he incoherently mumbled something about voting rights and his perceived atrocity supposedly committed by the SCOTUS when it ruled in favor of Alabama as it relates to prior approval from the Justice Department before certain southern states can pass any voting related legislation. He obviously has little use for the Equal Protection Clause. Anyway, he commented that Sessions had in fact voted to renew the Voting Rights Act. Afterwards, he attempted to tie Sessions to some alleged conspiracy by Republicans to suppress voting by minorities. To which Sessions promptly stated he did not and would not be a party to anyone trying to suppress anyone's vote. Once again Franken muttered some unintelligible BS as time his allotted time ended.
Never cared for Franken as a comedian and certainly dislike him as a statesman.
