Ok.....6 10’s in 7 days and just stopped by the ex wife’s on my way to the beer shop. They were headed up the mountain for a family camping trip and their truck caught fire. Everyone is ok but understandably shaken........

You?

How’s the sassy little mini me?

Holy smokes! (No pun intended...just inadvertently awesome) I’m glad everyone is all right!

Mini Me is working at my school, these days...and it’s AWESOME! She’s amazing with the kiddos, she’s a HARD worker, and the best part of the day is when our shifts overlap! She’s a pretty damn good kid if I do say so myself. Right now, she’s in OK with her sperm donor, so I’m missing her, but she’s doing all right so far...one day down and 8 to go.

Me? I’m having trouble adjusting to the change of pace this summer, but I figure I’ll either find my groove or lose my mind lol! I’ve done a year’s worth of recess coverage zone planning, a year’s worth of Bible curriculum planning AND indexed all of my Bible story books and children’s devotional books to align with our curriculum, and the principal is setting up next fall’s lesson plans so that I can get a jump on those. Other than that....loads and loads of Pinterest, lots of ideas for the classroom next year, and one massive holycraphowdoibookroomswhenidontknowtheareasorSpeakthelanguageatallHELPMEGOOGLETRANSLATEANDEXPEDIA headache! Also I need to lose 30 lbs before August. The class that earned me a break this summer is also the one that had me stress-eating ALL THE CARBS. Now I’m looking at hotel rooms for 3 people and they contain...two twin beds. Ummm...the Japanese do seem to be very lovely people, and I’m sure it’s a cultural thing, like eschewing modern electronic banking technology in favor of physical cash in the tech capital of the planet, but these folks seem to 1) have no concept of personal space and 2) have no concept of the size of my fat American azz.

LMAO, you planning a trip to visit boyo?

You got two good one. The other 8 I can’t vouch for 🤣

Was thinking bout you yesterday and almost texted.....time question. It can wait....and I think I’m an overly needy friend with you sometimes. Good to see you posting

Text any time, my dear friend! If I’m asleep, I’ll snore on and catch it in the morning LOL! You’ve never been needy with me - just for saying that, you now have to go eat a brownie so that I can consume after hours carbs vicariously through you!

Yes, visiting the Boyo! He bought princess and I tickets, we got passports in the works, (expedited....OUCH! Govt doesn’t work quickly for free!) and now all I have to do is figure out lodging! I’m probably going to admit defeat and visit a travel agent. Once that’s done, all I have to do is narrow down the bucket list! I’d need a lot more time and culturally acceptable non-electronic, non plastic cash money to do and see everything we want to. Also, I’d miss back to school parent night and my principal would flip her lid.

Hi, Frank! Good to see ya!

We’ve had a driver off for three month, he’s supposed to be back Monday but I think he’s going to no show. So I’ve had to go back on the road while still trying to do my job that I was transitioning to and training a temp. Also on call every other week this whole time.....

Bright side, we’re getting rid of offshore call centers and going back to local routing which plays to my experience. Also gives me more leverage in negotiating new wages.

Holy schnidt!!!

I feel like I just walked into a parallel universe. This is so damn strange...
Everyone's so nice to each other in here. I don't understand.

Is this real? Are you people for real???
Where's the fighting? The insults? The hostility? The degradation?

Who's responsible for this? Who gave me authorization?

Evidently something went wrong. I feel like I should not have access to this thread.
Kinda like walking in on your parents having sex. This is not right at all.

I'm leaving...

Good evening, folks!
It’s too late for coffee, so...
Be a peach and hook a gal up with an espresso martini? I’ll take it on the patio...don’t mind the extension cord; I need to charge the iPad.

Everyone’s done now - all NCAA eligibility is up. The one who could have had a chance to continue can’t seem to get his hamstrings healthy. He just took a job with a local real estate company this week. I love me boys, but ready for them to move on, particularly now that both have graduated and have secured employment. I think they are, as well. That said, they need to get some good savings under them before they fly the nest. Maybe in the next year....

Maybe I’ll crack open a bottle tomorrow night for Father’s Day, Spey. Doubt I have anything aging that would blow you away, perhaps with the exception of some 2015 Stag’s Leap Petite Sirah. But it’s a few years away from its best.

Good afternoon, all.
Sipping merlot and picking away at an itinerary, because I’m an OCD planner. Not that I’m uptight about following the plan once I have it; I just have to have it. Then once I’m in the thick of my vacation, I can decide whether to follow said plan, or detour from it when something cool comes up...but the plan is always there if I need it.

So, now knowing way more than you wanted to know about the current process, does anyone happen to know anything that should not be missed in Tokyo? Specifically anything cheap, if there is such a thing in Tokyo lol. So far, mama needs to sip a wildly overpriced hot beverage at a 3D latte art cafe, see the “Good Boy” statue (Hachiko...very good boy,) walk through a bamboo forest (gotta find one close by first,) sit quietly in a Japanese garden while Boyo is quietly bored and princess is not so quietly bored, see some beautiful architecture, attend a legit tea ceremony, buy something odd from a vending machine, and enjoy my Boyo for 8 days. Princess wants to eat in a Pokémon cafe, spend too much of my money in the Tokyo LUSH bath bomb museum/store, and go to Kyoto. One of these things is not in our budget lol. Okay, she wants to do a lot of other expensive things, too, and a lot of things that cross over with my lists so that’s good. So, does anyone know anything that simply should NOT be missed if you only have 8 days to see and do all the things that simply should not be missed?

Hola.
Just stopping by for some tea and quiet. Neighbors are lighting off my year’s salary in celebratory incendiaries, and my wisdom tooth-less princess is sacked out at the foot of the bed with Netflix, pain meds, and a mouthful of gauze. Poor girl...having protein drinks and ice cream for our 4th...solidarity and all that lol. Imma gonna put my head down on the table and take a little snooze here for a bit - someone wake me up at 1:30am to give princess her next round of meds, pls?

Hey frank! Not yet - first week of August! In fact, yesterday princess was lying in the dentist chair, eyes glazed, sedative in her system, face full of Novocain, happy gas mask on her nose, loopy juice IV in her arm. When the dental assistant asked me if we had plans for the summer, my girl raised one fist in the air and announced loudly to the world: “IB GODDA KIMB MOUN FUUUZZEEEEE!!!!” 😂

I’ll take six shots of espresso with a splash of cream, please. Pain meds and steroids are every six hours, and the ibuprofen booster when the pain meds don’t last 6 hours have my “medicate the princess” alarms going off every three hours. Sigh...literally (the correct use of the word, not the ironic use) a day ago, I was lamenting with a school parent about how fast our kids have grown up, how it seems like just a couple years ago we were walking them to first grade, and we wish we could have them little just a little while longer.
Now I’m up every three hours and it’s just like having a baby again and I have changed my mind LMAO. At least she stayed potty trained, right?

Well, the wind kicked up, the black clouds rolled in, and I got cold in the back yard, so we came in to watch Stranger Things while we were waiting for the big show to start a couple blocks over. Now princess is medicated and passed out across my legs, so I’m listening to the show and thinking...well, the wind stopped, but it’s still cold and drizzly and cloudy, so I think I won’t bother dislodging the princess. I’ll take a cosmo, a blue Hawaiian and a White Russian, please. It’ll be my red white and blue, in lieu of fireworks.

If Napalm is buying, I’ll have a double of whatever goes best with adolescent draaaammmmaaaa.

So, Princess has been on soft food for a few days now, thanks to her wisdom teeth, right?

Grilled burgers: “WHAT IS THIS BETRAYAL???”

Bought fried chicken: “Am I even still part of the family???”

Ate popcorn while doing a puzzle: “do you just not care about my feelings???”

Today...drove her across town to get her preferred French fries because I’m a sucker, that’s why, and at home there was chocolate cake.

“CAKE! I love cake!”

Yes, and it’s soft so you can eat it.

“I can eat cake! I’m part of the family again!”

You’re being a little dramatic.

“I get to eat with the family!!!”

You routinely boycott eating at the table for a regular meal. We actually argue about it a lot...

“Does this mean I don’t have to sleep in the cupboard under the stairs anymore???”

Rein it in there, muggle.

(((Skips around the room))) “I FEEL LIKE DOBBY WITH A NEW SOCK!!! MASTER GAVE DOBBY A NEW SOCK!!!”

((((SIGH))))
Well, at least she’s feeling a little better.

Still gonna need that drink.
