heading out of the Greater Boston area early Sunday morning for a much needed vacation. Work stress has been a real challenge for my health, time to recharge the batteries while I decompress. I may be found here Saturday, but that could be it for seven days.

My plan (I've done this successfully several times at this location):
1) collapse on the best beach in the world...Grace Bay, Providenciales
2) drinks and cigar
3) clean up and relax with more drinks
4) enjoy dinner and drinks at a world class restaurant
5) enjoy more drinks and a cigar on the terrace or at the bar by the pool or on the beach
6) sleep
7) rinse and repeat

I may be able to check in here but if not, your loss!

I wouldn't mind topless pictures of Frank . . . It's the bottomless ones that I'd steer clear of.

Frank doesn't go bottomless on the beach.
The sand gets too hot.

Have a great time Frank!

I will be here three weeks from yesterday for Super Bowl weekend.

I'm thinking about visiting La Flor Dominicana while I am there to see what the deal is with the Small Batch VII release!

no excursion plans, but there are a few spots where one can walk/swim out deep enough from shore for amazing snorkeling. The place is famous for this feature.

We've been all around the little island where we stay called Providenciales a few times, no need to take another tour. If you are interested, the beaches on Grace Bay are the ballzzz. That's where we like to be. And the restaurants are spectacular...pricey of course, but it is a vacation so why complain? They are worth it if this type of dining is something you enjoy.

If you're a casino type, or a Vegas show lover, this may not be the place for you. We've been there a few times so we kind of know how to make it work for us.

I met a deaf mute from Italy there, but he was not blind...and not from Venice.

That is not a true statement. I don't know what got into me.

I'm sorry.

Off the top of my bald head I don't know that place, but I'm sure once there I will remember it. I'll try to get over there to check it out...maybe Cros or Bigfoots is holed up there.

Don't make me regret this, but I am staying at Ocean Club West this time. We have stayed at Ocean Club a few times, and Royal something once...West is a slight upgrade from Ocean Club, we are doing it to be much closer to our friends who will be at Seven Seas or Seven Stars, and within walking distance to town.

I'm assuming Tamapatom was referencing the fact that the place is quickly becoming a hotbed for the rich and famous. The few available vacant lots are being developed with zillionaires as the target market.

We were fortunate to have learned of this place many years ago, but we are askeered that someday soon places like Ocean Club will be knocked down and replaced by Trump Type Villas, thus pricing out us undocumented Hebrews. Oy.

My wife and I have never really been on a 'vacation', per se, where we've left the country or gone to a resort. We have gone to NY and FL to visit friends and family... and Vegas which is just up the road.

I'll bet the fishing in Turks & Caicos is amazing.

This fellow Frank was so deeply in love that just before he was married, he had his bride's name tattooed on his weiner. Normally, only the first and last letters were visible, although when he was aroused, the tattoo spelled out C-A-R-E-N. Now they're on their vacation at a resort in Turks & Caicos. One night, in the men's room, Frank finds himself standing next to a tall local at the urinal.

To his amazement, he notices that this man, too, has the letters C-N tattooed on his weiner. "Excuse me," he says, "but I couldn't help noticing your tattoo. Do you have a girlfriend named Caren?" "No way, mon, I work for the Tourist board. Mine reads, "Caicos has great beaches and great ladies! Have a nice day, mon."

I know the area where Villa del Mar is located, a few miles East of where we are. We have stayed near there before but not quite as far out. I'll try to get out there to see what they mean by "steps from the beach" etc. Also will try to get a look at the beach itself, most likely very sweet, but I did once check out a place way West and it wasn't as nice as 98.2% of Grace Bay.

Most of Grace Bay faces North but there are some curves at the east and west ends that change the direction those beaches face...

It is quieter out near the eastern end, it's not far from the "conch farm program" they run, but I don't think you'd want to walk to town.

yeah, I'm staying near the newer Grace-way Market and hit the shpo today. Small humi but I have been there before and the owner is very helpful.

Fourth of fifth time here and we have always been pretty close to this area.

Went to the funky/affordable/great Mr. Grouper for dinner the other night, hitting the lovely Magnolia tonight, saving the best (in our opinion) Coco Bistro for Friday night...Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday nights undecided, but likely back to Mr. Grouper once more.

Had two great days despite strong breezes at da beach and pool so far, and the forecast is for no wind the rest of the week...oh yeah!

Scuse me, gotta hav one more drink before dindin.
