6989~ Greater Good Imperial Brewing Co (America's First All Imperial Brewing Company)
Greylock Imperial New England IPA

"Quadruple dry hopped for a smooth citrusy finish"

This is a 12% ABV India Pale Ale, and I had to try it despite everything saying not my style. Well, very good, the citrus in the finish really was tamer than in the newer style of hop heavy brews and I found it quite pleasant. None of the pine that I do not enjoy.
A pale orangey color with a tight head was not what I expected, and even at 12% it drank like a much lighter, less boozy brew.

Too many beers but I keep trying new stuff. Prolly have well over 100 stouts in stock at any one time. Most of the new beers I try are NE style DDH and hazy styles.

100, you got me by a few. Honestly though, I haven't drank any of my stock really this year so I might be close to that number but most are in a chest in the closet and are a pain to get to. Next year I expect my stock to greatly diminish. This year the whiskey took a hit.

But, from my experience Belgians are like the candy of golden beers. I indulge from time to time and mostly enjoy them.

P.S. I miss the days of the bomber, everything in 4 pack 16oz cans sucks imo!

Ya stingy cheese heads, not selling across state lines.

Haven't had the Belgian Red, but I've yet to meet a New Glarus I've really disliked

Yeah, NG claims it's because they can sell all of their beer in the current market w/o the bother of increasing distribution to other states, but I'm pretty sure it's just to piss off the FIB's.
