No numbers because I haven't had any of them yet... But I did pick up some Hofbrau Oktoberfest, some pint cans of Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier (formerly the Oktoberfest Wiesn) and 3 bottles (limit) of Pliny the Elder.

7438~ Deschutes Mirror Pond, last of a six pack, been pounding these. Moving in 106° heat WITH “unhealthy” smoke isn’t fun.

Unique experience. Barnstar Brewing is in a converted barn on a cattle ranch about 30 miles from the nearest town in Skull Valley Az and only open weekends. Twelve beers and food with games under the trees and BYO picnic. Wife and I loved it.

My buddy, Art, did not like it at all. So on his recommendation, I avoided it.

I've intro'ed him to Ayinger, Paulaner, Spaten, Hofbrau, etc... so he has sampled some good fest beers.

He does drink Michelob Ultra on occasion, so maybe take that with a grain of salt.

Oh boy... sorry Kipp, but TW also has Ayinger Fest Marzen now!! I grabbed all of them.

Plus my 3 bottle ration of Pliny, Wild Turkey 101, and George Dickel Barrel Select at Whistle's recommendation.

Rick, lemme know how you like the Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier. That is one of my favorites... hard to say which is #1 between that and the Ayinger Marzen.

IIRC those are close to my taste. Think I still have a few Ayinger in inventory so I'll add that to the test.

Thanks for the offer Rick. Most places near us just sell Bud and Miller. I was able to get some decent beer in Casper last weekend, but no Oktoberfest.

I can't give you an honest answer. I have some sinus issues going on and the palate is not funtioning properly.

At this point drinking for the alcohol affect.
