Snowbound and the only beer left in the house is Genesee Cream Ale. Liked it a long time ago, but now it seems like a girlie beer (Mrs. likes it).

No Heady Topper, I had that one before and wasn't impressed. They did have some there though. I did have a stout from alchemist but thought it was to hoppy.

3571~ Crux seasonal Coco(A) Stout

8.0%abv 60 IBU lightly carbonated, not too sweet, very cocoa forward but not a cloying extract taste like some I’ve had. Paired nicely with pork roast and mashed taters. Mmmmm carbs

That one sounds good. I have tried many stouts that were just too sweet for my tastes.

Devil's Trumpet is TINY. Been open 4 or 5 years, just started local distribution in the past year or two and the brewpub is only open 3 days a week, and only evenings on those days. They've got a couple good beers, but nothing that really stands out.

Heads up if you've not cracked it yet, that bottle from OTP is on the sweeter side.

Initially thought this was really good. After a few taste I decided that for my palate there was a little to much going on.

3575 - Snake River Zonker Stout

Not sure who to thank from the Ellis household, either Angela or Kipp. Kipp denied that he sent it, in fact, said it was Angela. Why don’t I believe him? Not talking

Nonetheless, enjoying this out in the garage after replacing some Safety Walk strips (...getting ready for the rainy season...).

#3576- One Trick Pony Cocoa Butter Kisses stout BA in Buffalo Trace barrels 11% 80 IBU

Just so happens I had this in the chiller today. A slight sweetness from the brown sugar in the recipe but not cloying. As it warms and opens up the cinnamon comes forward to slightly dominate the vanilla and cocoa nibs. Very enjoyable.
Thanks to danm for this exchange.
