In an interview with the New York Times. It's sad that all of this is because of the Trump team's stupid claim on the size of the crowd at his inauguration. He has a major league inferiority complex. fog

He's correct....there are some who should keep their mouths shut. @ least then people still have to WONDER if they're actually that ignorant..... rather than removing ALL DOUBT. And SOME...should never have been involved in media to begin with....@ least until / unless they can report objectively fog

... wouldn't crowd size be an objective indicator?

Or do you consider numbers to be a liberal conspiracy these days?

I don't think it matters... (crowd size) and I wouldn't expect trump's crowds at inauguration to be that extensive.

I'd also expect a grown azz man who is pretending to be president of the United States to not care that much either. His response to this should have been "meh.. it was big enough for me to get inaugurated..."

...but no. . He had to have a little fit... and now comparing two numbers is a liberal agenda.

What fit did he have out of curiosity? I saw a number of media organizations throwing what might be called "a fit" about the crowd size... and you and buckwheat might be described as "fitful" in your comments... what was the presidents "fit" and how is it different than what you are doing by coming on here and complaining about it?

And please save your "but im not the president and he is" excuse for someone who actually thinks politicians and nfl players are the only ones in our society who need character...

#10 ^ He's mentioned it at several places after the inauguration. The most attention getting time was at a speech at the Memorial Wall, after a visit at CIA headquarters in Langley, a "hallowed ground" honoring the men and women who have died in the line of duty doing intelligence work. Google "inauguration crowd size" for a full list of times Trump has brought it up, if you're interested.

It's important to some people because he seems to be wasting a lot of time and energy on something so trivial, and it has actually taken the focus off of stuff that he could've used to enhance his perception. That seems to be his motivation, to inflate his image. He should just let it drop.

The cynics might say that it is more than wasting time. They might even say that this was actually subtler messaging. Message to the Park Service and Interior Dept to toe the line, be loyal to a fault. Message to Spicer and other main staff that defending his 'honor' and priorities is job no. 1. "Facts are interpretable. Interpret them MY way...and fast." Get out in front, loud and often and the accolytes, sycophants, and such will follow...faith over fact

Yep, I've seen reports by analysts who believe all this dust-up over crowd size is an intentional tactic, a distraction from stuff that he is doing that might get more opposition if the media was paying attention. Kinda like "rope-a-dope". Play dumb, big-time. At some point the media and the American people will have exhausted ourselves trying to figure out the "style". Then, Trump will say, "that all you got?" and the substance will drop. Many of us may not like that substance. His adviser, Bannon, has made a fortune duping people.
