Steve Bannon has now joined the principals commitee of the National Security Council. The Director of National Intelligence and the Chairman of the Joint Cheifs of Staff will only attend National Security Council meetings where their expertise is called for.

Not the dynamic 'git-er-dun' sort that describes some of the other picks, that's for sure. But, he was an early trumpette and was rewarded with a spot where he can do little harm.

By the way, where's Newt? I know about Christie and how Trump dumped him because Christie **** on his employees and let them take the fall....but what did Newt do? He's still relegated to occasional guest interview on Fox News...still on the outside with his nose pressed up against the glass.

Newt is still in the Mix. And I disagree that bannon is in a role where he can do little harm. He's basically co chief of staff which is why he will sit in with this group.
