Spent all day yesterday manhandling my dock back together. 30 years old. Original builder did not use bolts and nails have rusted to oblivion. Use of come along, bottle jack and clamps resulted in lifting sagging and spreading corner of boathouse and the installation of ONE critical bolt. All day, one bolt. It's got to get easier.

The composite, floating docks not good? Or too pricey? I would think Florida would have some decent alternatives to wood... which rots in hot, humid climes.

My wood dock has lasted 30 years. Decided to replace old deck boards with wood instead of more expensive composite. If they last as long I will be 90 by the time they need replacing and I won't care.

Not bad at all, MACSie, thanks for asking. Picked up several new customers so far this year, some with very exciting possibilities for us.

Still in the first year, we have done really well, and hopefully nothing but bigger and better from here. We made our living pretty well, now the plan is to carefully build beyond that and create a solid, powerhouse company.

Well that was exciting. Wife woke me up saying the dogs were fighting something out behind the shed/chicken coop. Ran outside and shot two raccoons with my handgun. One that was fighting with puppy dog and another that jumped from a tree trunk when I shot the first. Kick, shot, second jumped out, shot that one.

I'm awake now!
