The complete meltdowns in full swing, the clear presentation by the left of intolerance of anyone who does not agree with them, indoctrinated college students unable to think for themselves, micro and macroaggressions, safe spaces, and in their minds they feel under assault by the right. Man hating feminist's, the Democratic attacks claiming racism of virtually everyone and the list can go on and on.

So to all of those on the left that think riots, physical attacks on individuals, infringing on the rights of others. stopping free speech, you can all kiss off and I could care less about your individual feelings.

This type of behavior by the left reminds me of the movie Kingsman: The Secret Service when Samuel Jackson (Democratic) blows peoples heads off.

I feel like this post is about as useful as one which chastises the knights templar... I mean, maybe somebody belonging to that small group might read this thread, but it's not likely...

the media has a way of placing a microscope on small issues or events and convincing the common man that the problem is happening right outside his door or just beyond his view...

are there people affected by the current protests going on? sure... are there people affected by trumps new immigration law? sure... but I'd be willing to bet none of those people directly affected by those two heavily reported events are visiting this forum...

Opel I agree with you. I'd even say most people would be hard pressed to show how the evil illegal immigration issue has impacted them personally.

It's political foosball mamma.

I dated a girl from el Salvador about eight years ago and her cousins were deathly afraid I was going to have them deported. Lol

They were nice people, day laborers. Fairly religious. I don't mind the illegals that share common values with Americans it's just the ones that still hold alliegiance to their former country or a radical religious sect that I want ousted.

You keep telling that to those who work in the construction and other related businesses.....where the owners of those businesses are employing them heavily simply to bolster their bottom line. When did we as Americans STOP caring about one another and only consider ourselves?????
Where do we go from here if we keep undercutting the working class Americans with an ever available ILLEGAL INVADER population to do their jobs? I only see the welfare class growing out of this mindset...

Quantify it on a personal level. I will actually listen.

Not a political rant. Not a cut and paste. Real rubber hits the road. I'm not being disingenuous. I feel for anyone it directly impacts and will totally understand their position. I know there are folks out there truly impacted. I've never said different.

Rhetoric is one thing, facts are often another.

Paul, is TW a Muslim collaborator? He seems to know an awful lot about Islam. He always defends Islam. He studies with them. Is he the future of radicalized Islam? Allahu Akbar baby.

Scary times. Jones is making more more logical points (in his own wacky way) than Zito.

How exactly would you and others like you.....like me to " Quantify " that my and many other contractors phones have stopped ringing for the most part?? Am I @ fault for my own scenario...perhaps, I could have many years ago hired a crew or two of ILLEGALS to bolster my bottom line...I'm just NOT that greedy nor can I look the guys who've worked with me over the years in the eye and tell them....Hey suck it up..." it's just business "
I just find it repulsive to only consider ones own bottom line when it comes to employment decisions...
we were not always a strictly LOOK OUT FOR YOURSELF kind of mindset in this country ( @ least not @ the labor level ) BUT we sure as hell are now.

I agree with you tmctt. I'm not trying to bait you or argue even. It's a huge issue to you. I assume there is a reason why beyond politics and rhetoric. I assume the issue touched you individually. Maybe quantify is the wrong word for me to use.

I know sometimes I poke at you for fun but I mean no harm. In this case I'm being completely respectful and not joking around. It sounds as if illegal immigration has hurt your bottom line, or at least you believe so. I'd not argue with you about that because you certainly know more than I.

I'm just saying I'm more interested in that than some of the soaring rhetoric surrounding the issue.

I'm not sure but I think my wife may have hired one to clean the house. I got rid of her after the second time because she apparently didn't understand enough english to know what no teeth means.

The dude that painted our house specifically told us before we hired him that his crew is all local, legal workers and they all speak english. I asked why he felt the need to say that and he told me because my neighbors went on a rant about it lol.

Paul believe it or not we agree at this level. I felt better hiring him.

The contractor, a retired LAPD cop and Vietnam vet, who did our major home renovation hired only American citizens. We were OK with that, and prolly paid twice as much for labor costs doing the job. They did great work and we were happy with him and his crew.

That's what the U.S. labor unions have been trying to do for a loooong time: protect the U.S. working people. Right on TMCTLT.

The GOP has historically been shooting down Labor initiatives that were pushed to protect the U.S. worker, supporting the corporate/business establishment that loves low cost (illegal?) labor. The Dems kinda forgot them. Seems the unions may be turning to Trump now for help...GOP supporting labor unions would be a huge concept to grasp...have to hand it to him...changing American politics and turning things upside down...

If your job is such that you can be replaced by someone that floated here on a door, it probably wasn't going to be around that much longer any way.

It isn't quite that simple in my mind....I personally would attribute a good bit of it to the dumbing down of society...and people apparently no longer value true craftsmanship and some wouldn't recognize it if it bit them in the Azz. Hell I've met plenty of folks who have college degrees and yet wonder how they wipe their own asses fog

Perhaps one day you'll too " sub that job out "

Useful rant, very unlikely and I realize that and this is just a cigar forum. Changing forum members opinions is not my intent, I just like to read the discussions.

if I understand you clearly, then I agree whole heartedly...I have always felt the cause of any problem in this issue has been those that do the hiring, not those that seek a better life.

If cheap/illegal labor was not encouraged and recruited by business owners, there would be no incentive to sneak into this country.

Ok TW I'll bite ... Why is it important that a maid know what no teeth means? Does this have something to do with tucking?
