Dad passed tonight and even though I saw it coming it still sucks. He made it to 91 and was pretty healthy till Sunday when he has a sever stroke that took it's toll. When I saw him in the hospital today I just knew he wasn't going to last much longer so I just let him know that it was OK to go, I had my Mother do the same. It wasn't easy but seeing him like this was heart wrenching. So when the phone rang tonight I just knew what the call was going to be about and I had to tell my Mom. Going to be a rough few days to get used to this and arrange all of the things that need to follow, but I know that I need to move on and remember the good times.
Just got back from taking the dog for a walk with my son and smoked a AF SS while chatting about him. Uggg, this sucks! Go smoke a good one and keep us in your thoughts please.

Been there twice but my parents were much younger. It sucks and while it gets better it never completely goes away. Our condolences to you and your family.

So sorry to hear, he had a great run it sounds like but that doesn't lessen the enormous loss and the reality of never getting to see them again.

Still haven;t quite gotten past that with the passing of my Mother back in Nov.
