Check out Allison Krauss's new album, Windy City. She covers lots of classics from 50-70's. I've been enjoying it.

Yup. They recorded an album together and then toured about 10 years ago.

Send out the search party and after they find it, tell us how it is.

Sturgill is pretty much my favorite these days. Tough call between he and Jason Isbell.

Sturgill just announced this weekend that Laur Joamets is leaving the band

Yes it is frank. I'm pretty sure they won some Grammy awards for that album.

Blech...country music...nothing worse on my ears. I just don't understand how people enjoy that twangy junk. haha

I do like modern folk type music, but it is very different than the older stuff.

..caught Jason Isbell at the Ryman last November. GREAT CONCERT.
I'm blessed to be able to frequent those hallowed halls.

He's one helluva songwriter. 24 frames...listening now... to Something More than Free.

It's ironic that Nashville has earned such infamy over ruining country music, but the music scene there is amazing.
And by amazing, I mean EVERYTHING besides country. Ha! Rock, rap, reggae, roots, indie etc...just so much more than "country".
Singer/songwriters are the musicians I admire most.

Peace.

Last year I would go weeks at a time listening to Southeastern pretty much end to end.

"Live Oak" is without a doubt my favorite Isbell tune
