Just curious how many cigars everyone smokes per month on average.

Mine changes a lot from month to month. As a good average I would be in the 6-10 range although I go through a heck of a lot more than that per month from giving them to friends and bombing people.

Rarely less than 2 per day. Rarely more than 7 per day.

To a large degree, it depends on how much fishing I'm doing that month....Three day weekend fishing trip last weekend...I took a 15 count traveldor, and two 5-counts....fortunately, I didn't run out

Warm months, 16 - 20 per month.

Winter, 11 - 15 per month.

I'm not big into smoking while I fish...seems like the cigar gets in the way (I do a lot of pretty active retrieves so there isn't much time to puff on a cigar). Now, while playing poker, that is a different story. I will usually cram 4-5 cigars into a short period of time.

My record is 28 cigars in about 35 hours while on a camping trip with some other cigar friends. We didn't sleep much at all so most of that 35 hours was chain smoking cigars. I do have to say that my mouth tasted like ash for about 3 days after that...didn't matter how many times I brushed my teeth.

I was typing reply before the poll was visible....51+ easily.....If fishing, I might take the cigar out of my mouth and put it down just a couple times in an hour

This time of year normally smoke a cigar while listening to college baseball, about 4 times a week. Just realized how those numbers add up!!

Looks like I average about 24.11 per month. Based on data culled from the last 4 years. I refused to Snopes it, and did not use Prager as a source. Ergo, it must be true.

On this site, that's not just limited to Victor. But since I'm bad at math, he'd probably find fault with my methodology.

No more than one in a particular day usually.........but on rare occasion two max. Then I like to have a few days break in the week............so averages 18.545 per month using Monkey math.

About one per day, sometimes two or three, depending on the occasion. Some days I'll go without, depending on the occasion...kinda averages out to one a day by imprecise math, the most commonly used arithmetic system.

Depends on the weather. 5-10 a week in spring and summer. 1/2 that in the winter.

I would say I average about 40 / month in the fall/winter/spring. (1 a day on non-golfing days, 2 or 3 on golfing days).

Probably about 20 / month in the summer (0 or 1 on non-golfing days, 2 on golfing days).

I knew this was a Hankster thread. I'm with the others about the seasonal impacts to my cigar smoking. I'm a front porch smoker, mostly.

My answer in advance of your next questiony thread is:

7 inches

Also, I've noticed lately that after I smoke I've been wanting to eat a crapton. I'm talking the type of hunger that I had when I was 17 from working all day loading cows or working on the tractor type hungry. Enough to eat two whole triple patty burgers with all the fixins from wendy's or three five guys bacon burgers all the way type hungry. Seems like the bigger the cigar the bigger the hunger. Used to not feel this way when I smoked.

Been smoking more than usual. Probably averaging 2 per day. Typically smoke about 9-10 per week. Time to reel it back in.

Wow, Hankster. You're getting personal with your very interesting questions. I'm scratching my head, trying to understand why you would ask such a question of our mostly straight, conservative membership in your next "Hank's gotta interesting question for everyone" post. You might have to buy me some flowers before I give you my answer to that one. You ask questions like this to your Mom with that mouth? 'Herfing

I guessed your question wrong, sorry. I thought you were going to ask for the length of our favorite cigar. It was a well-aged VSG Spellbound. And looking it up, I guess I was wrong about the length, too. 7.5 inches.

Holy crap! I just looked at your post count. You are killing me with the number of posts you've put out in our short time here. I'll send you a hand-selected 5-er when you hit 2K. Just let me know.

Don't need to get to 6+ each and every day, if you have 10 or more on weekends :)

Then again, if I spent 50-80 hours a week on a golf course, I'd probably out-smoke Bart, even....quantity, anyway...certainly not quality

That makes sense, if I played golf that much, I would smoke that much too, lol.

It is a big range....2-25 per month depending on weather and how busy I am doing other things.
Also a big variety in size. I include everything from minis to Toros in that figure.
Usually just a lunch time or after work thing. So rarely more than 1 per day.

If you smoke lets say 20 cigars on the weekend (which still seems like a lot), you would still need to smoke 5-6 cigars every day to get to 200. Either way, that is a ton of cigars in a month. I just can't imagine. Say it only takes you an hour to smoke a cigar....

720 hours in a month (30 days)
-210 hours of sleeping (7 hr/night)
___
510 usable hours left
-200 hours of smoking
___
310 hours you aren't smoking (about 10 hours per day that you don't have a cigar in your mouth)

That is one cigar every 2.5 hours, non-stop. Again, I can't imagine. Plus the cost would be nuts.

200 x $5 cigars = $1,000 dollars per month

200 x $10 cigars = $2,000 dollars per month (that would leave me with only like $650/month after taxes to live on, but then again I don't make that much money..ha..I think I would need to make at least double what I do to live the same life I do now)

Several years ago I was pretty much a one-a-day smoker, now I'm somewhere between, "I don't smoke cigars anymore" to 1 every couple of months. My last cigar was Super Bowl Sunday with my cousin.

Great logic, my friend. I love logical extrapolation. We do this all the time at work when we have to come up with estimates or projections.

I'd hate to debate with you. I bet you are quite masterful. A masterdebater, so to speak.

Yes, I am quite the masterdebater...as long as you aren't talking politics. Otherwise I enjoy a good debate...mostly because I am never wrong...even when I am.
