He had an epic herf at his place as a warm up to one of Basic Patrick's Hyannis herf.

Time flys by way too fast. A couple that were corner stones of great guys. I will miss seeing these two - John (JDLizard), and Randal (KingFisher) RIP.... sigh...

Great memories

I've used this method many times.......works like a charm, never had any proplems , and at Gillette we set up about a dozen of the tent awnings on the tar. Just tie them down to something heavy......cars, coolers, sandbags, cinder blocks

fortunately, I decided not to pass out yarmulkes for everyone to wear while I chant (in Hebrew) the blessings over wine (works for beer etc.) and bread.

but it would have covered the bald spot...OK, most of the bald spot

I didn't want to have to make everyone scurry for their google machines, but you've left me no choice.

Since Saturday is Shabbat, as long as we have 10 (which is enough for a minyan) we may as well hold a Havdalah service on my patio at sundown...I live on Sunset Drive overlooking Ponkapoag Pond so we might have a beautiful sunset

first person at the herf who can tell me the definitions, without reading from cue cards, of:

Shabbat
Minyan
Havdalah

wins a yarmulke, a handful of leftover Chanukkah candles, a coupon for a discount circumcision (sorry Joan), and any other surplus Jew stuff I have cluttering up the house ...fiddler is disqualified from the competition.

I'm afraid I need to recuse myself from this spirited competition, as these words are basically tools of the trade.

Boo hoo!

Shabbat – A word of frustration. Example… “I can’t get this fu%$ing lug nut off… Shabbat!”
Minyan – An underling. Example… “The King and his minyans”
Havdalah – A short phrase from a street beggar. Example… “Havdalah please?”

you crazy funny lunatic!

yuuuuuge box arrives today, loaded with goodies to share.

BIG bag of One-Ton chips x 2...does that make it two-ton?

large bag of dry roasted macadamias x 2

large bag of milk chocolate coconut macadamias x 2

3 packs of Hawaiian Sun fruit drink mixes...guava, passion fruit/orange/guava, and pineapple/orange. Each makes one quart.

and of course, several of his patented backscratchers.

Conan, I promise to keep my hands off of the goods until the guests arrive Saturday, but it won't be easy...though I did snag a backscratcher because my son stole my last one.

You will absolutely be here in spirit, and we will have a smoke and a toast to you as we face West and bow, my friend.

Over the top, per usual.

I'd hitch a ride with someone and be there, except all the guys who're planning to attend live pretty much as far away from me as frankj1 does ... last time I was back that way, I hitched a ride with BuckyB93, but he, at least, was passing by within a couple miles of where I was staying and it was a lot less than the 3,000 miles (one way) out of his way this would be ... not to mention that if I could somehow trick him into picking me up and taking me there, he'd not likely make that detour to bring me home again and Mrsfrankj1 wouldn't be all that thrilled to have a semi-permanent house guest ... plus, frankj1 himself wouldn't be too keen either given the discomfort of our disparate political views ... and, since I've got a son living in Millbury I know from experience that after a couple of days, the tension begins to wear a bit ...

don't let politics stop you from house squatting! Or send your son.

I know you're joshing, and I know we get along just fine, but I don't mind adding this about why I am involved in this propaganda machine we have here...

If I chose my friends based on political alignment, I'd have been loooong gone from this dump nearly a decade ago. I'd never learn, I'd never grow...I am far better off understanding the views, and more importantly the reasons behind the views, of those with whom I disagree. Clears up certain views of the world for me, that can't be a bad thing.

Some are unapproachable, just as some on the left are unapproachable, dogmatic, stubborn, and worse. I tend not to get involved too deeply with irrational folks, but love interacting with most of you guys.

I especially love letting all of you know when you are wrong...HA!

Hop on that plane, bro. Someone will be passing by Logan International on their way south to Randolph.

Just let me know, cuz as my grandmother used to say...add some water to the soup, we're having company.

Tell you what, Frank ... if that were a possibility, I'd do it ... I'm just foolin' about the politics thing ... the only person I ever seem to have issues with is my son in Millbury and that's mostly because he goes out of his way to poke and prod, though I've gotta admit, he DOES seem to be getting a wee bit mellower with age ...

I'm in Millbury nearly every day of the week for my son and daughter's softball, little league games/practices, girl scouts, karate, band, etc....

Give me his address and I'll egg his house for you.

I"m sitting here in Washington Regan National Airport waiting for a flight home and decided to see if there was a post about this shindig Mr. Tailgaiter wants me to attend. I don't know who Bucky has been texting but this wouldn't be the first time he was texting another guy named Patrick...I love me some Bucky

Im not one of gods chosen people (Jewish or a member of the Patriots roster) but I grew up in Allston, which is attached to Brighton, which is next to Brookline...thus I speak the language. With all the talk of penetration Im surprised no one brought up the term "briss." I bring this up because there is one cbid member that in my opinion deserves a "briss"...but I digress.

I have a MA Beach Buggy event in the morning but it is looking more and more like a drive to Randolph will be my in my plans on Saturday.

If there is anything last minute that I can bring (besides my legendary personality) please shoot me a pm.

Ill also call Gan tonight and give him a boot in the ass.

Fut the wuck is this? Some sort of code?

Also, I guess the numbers for you and Gan had given me changed from the last time I was down for the Hyannis. Either that or you guys gave me fake numbers (not that I wouldn't have done the same if I were you).
