I use a bunch of the large 60 gram (I think, can't recall, but bigger than the little packs you sometimes get in shipments) packs as my primary humidification source. I also have beads but I just have them there as a buffer anymore, really soured on them as a humidification platform. They work well and yes, can be recharged pretty simply. I rotate them, some in the humidor, then back into the recharge bin when they get close to done. You need several in larger humis, but I've been pretty pleased with them.

Take the Bovedas and put them in a Tupperware or Ziploc bag with dish or shotglass of distilled water and seal up.......leave until they plump back up........reuse.........repeat
This can be done over and over until they stop plumping............you do need to leave them in container for awhile, it may take a week or two..........I just have two sets, one set working and one set recharging.......I use 60% packs and it seems to keep me about 63% pretty steady. I also have KL in coolador with the bovedas as a backup plan. I haven't had to add water to KL in over 6 months.........easy peasy

no, don't put them "in" water.............when new use as is.............when they start to dry up put them in a sealable container, with a container of water in there near them and let them absorb the water from the air in container and they will plump back up. When they start to dry out they get less "squishy" and if you don't recharge them will eventually get "crunchy". Even if they get "crunchy" you can still recharge them.......but the drier they get, the longer they will need to be in container with water

I hope I'm explain this correctly, but if I'm not I'm sure one of the FOGs will be along to advise properly

These are fine and work well for many applications ... I've got some and use them where appropriate ...

That said, for applications such as a large humidor or a tupperdor, I use the humidity beads which require less maintenance and they work extraordinarily well ...

drymistats are good for traveldors and other small applications, but just don't carry larger units all that well ... unless you live in a humid climate where little effort is required in a humidor

I put mine IN distilled water with a wet sponge and they plump back up in a couple of days instead of weeks. Obviously you have to make sure they are dry on the outside before you put them in your humidor but I've found this to actually work better. I loaned one to my Dad several months ago and it dried out completely so I figured I'd just put it in distilled water. Not only did it "come back" but it came back in just a few days.

When mine start getting a lot of salt crystals I just recharge by adding a fe gels to the humidor. They plump up after about two weeks.
