I don't trust Comey, but I assume anything Trump says is a lie until proven otherwise.

It's not Comey, it's an aide citing a memo.....

apparently charges against Flynn had already been dropped at the time of the meeting.. by 'hoping' Comey could forget about it, or whatever words were used, obviously didn't mean drop the case.... Mellow

Drafter, IF true, this is obstruction of justice. But, the IF is large to me. Comey's memo could easily be false, but it could just as easily be true. What I do not want to see is a witch hunt, but I imagine that is exactly what we will see. There seems to be no way to prove or disprove the validity of the memo.

other than the fact Flynn's charges had already been dropped..... to me Trump was just saying don't hold any ill feelings towards him... the case was closed.... and I know it's just speculation on my part.. Mellow

I don't think Flynn has been formally charged Drafter. I think it is an ongoing investigation.

Define 'lying'. I'm seriously being facetiously serious. Everyone involved has a keenly refined sense of use of language. Trump is as good at it as any politician ever. You will likely never pin a lie on him because he can ALWAYS offer alternative interpretations of anything he has ever said.

Everybody...

Including TRUMP.....

IS MISSING "THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM"....

**** "obstruction of justice" , **** secrets to russia, **** collusion in election with RUSSIA...
they are all MAJOR but... Many bodies will grab the
Headlines ...REAL FAST..

COMEY directed the FBI-SSG DIVSION FOR OVER 2+ years....
Many FIRST DEGREE CALCULATED MURDERS
WERE COMMITTED BY THE SSG DIVISION during his tenure and direction.

IPSO FACTO CONNECTION CAN EASILY BE PROVEN.

THEN COMEY & PAPA F.E.M.- GARY O'CONNOR-SSG
DIVISION MORON LOSER
GO TO JAIL...FOR "Longgg timeeee"...
PLUS dozens if not hundreds more.

Then TRUMPS BIGGEST problem is slam dunk

This is how bad politics has became in the USA. 8 years of Obama, all gridlock and nothing much positive accomplished. 4 or 8 years of Trump, and nothing much will be accomplished, exept more gridlock. It will not happen, but every politician in office should be voted out, and this should continue until the government becomes for the people.

even with the senate, the house, and the white house all the same party?
any continuing gridlock will be the result of instability at the top...

Dave, this should SERIOUSLY bother people from both sides. I wouldn't have wanted this level of leaking under Obama...... I did support the leaking of some things under his watch, but these are PURELY political in outcome. We cannot have this.

Trump is clean. So, either Comey is a liar and going to prison or this all goes away.

Frank, I still see gridlock, given all of the Republican factions. I agree with Z that the worst part of this is the leaks. How to stop the leaking is beyond me.

so chaotic that even owning all 3 houses can't get it done! Wow.

Leaks can be intentional, and that can play games with the public as well.

we all need to decide if any given leak is bigger than the info that came to light.

The leaks about the so called phone calls to foreign dignitaries which ended up being false.....nobody seems to care once these have been proven false. THAT'S why I will not bite the establishment hook some seem so eager to slurp up.

but there is soooo much real smoke, Jamie. Birther crap is on year 9 with less fanning of the flames but is clung to like a life raft tossed into a raging river.

I still don't think the election is the real reason for the investigation. Political leanings aside, the endless connections go on and on...it should make even the most ardent supporters among us at least wonder about things we'd normally shrug over...like tax returns??? And that's entry level trouble.

Real connections exist and should be debunked if only to reestablish stability. I don't have to like the policies of any President, but I want to know he/she isn't indebted.

Wasn't the leaking itself more important than the content when Hillary was being leaked..?? Think

my first concerns were if our national security had been jeopardized...and my last concerns were what party she belonged to...which is improper grammar
