You can't spell "Liberal" without "Hypocrite"

I've got no beef with kids who think it was right to snub the Speaker.

But the SAME people who applaud these students were the ones who BASHED people like Tim Thomas (Bruins goalie) when he refused to visit Obama's White House.

And by "bashed", I mean that they called him unAmerican. A hater. A racist.
Because he didn't join a sports team on a field trip.

But these students had "conviction" and "stood for their rights" etc etc.

Personally, I think it's sad when adults encourage kids to embrace partisan posturing.
It would have been a good time for the kids to ask questions rather than walk out.
Pick a subject: Education funding. Healthcare. Whatever.

Instead, they choose to let partisan differences lead to the conclusion that they "don't like him".
Pathetic failure by the adults on this one.

Joe, I was prepared to argue with you. I think there are many honest liberals, Frank for example. But how can I argue with this. Well, I can't.

I'm sure you could find something to argue.
There's always the exception that proves the rule.

Take Frank.

Please!

Honestly though, social studies and government studies at that age level should be taught without any bias for or against either party...one hopes that K-12 provides a well-rounded education so that grads will be independent thinkers when they are done...

...remember when some states wanted their public schools to teach the history of the planet through Biblical views, while ignoring scientific knowledge?

"I'll tell you how I feel about school, Jerry: it's a waste of time. Bunch of people runnin' around bumpin' into each other, got a guy up front says, '2 + 2,' and the people in the back say, '4.' Then the bell rings and they give you a carton of milk and a piece of paper that says you can go take a dump or somethin'. I mean, it's not a place for smart people, Jerry. I know that's not a popular opinion, but that's my two cents on the issue." - Rick Sanchez

Most mainstream news has a Democratic point of view. But liberals are not necessarily Democrats. Many are independants. The Democratic party certainly does not have a platform that I agree with.
