Purchased a box (a $37 lowball bid) a little over 2 years ago.
Was going to smoke one, but never got around to it until today.

Nice looking cigar.
Perfect draw, perfect burn only needing one touch up.
Lots of smoke.
A bit breezy on the back patio, so I couldn't really get a room note, but the wife said "it stinks like a crappy cigar".
Hmmm.....
First inch was somewhat meh and muddled.....no discernable flavors I could detect other than mild pepper on retrohale.
Started improving a bit toward the halfway mark.
Second half much better than the first. Some creamy baker's spice notes, a hint of coffee to go with the mild pepper.
Second half the smoke got heavier and more oily, with a longer creamy finish.
Strength also ramped up to medium/full to me.

Final thoughts:
Decent yard gar.
If you can get them for under $2/ea like I did, and you're in need of yard gars......probably a safe buy.
Wish I had smoked one close to rott, and then another maybe after a year or so for comparison purposes.
Noobish fumble on my part..................carry on.

It wasn't the Habano but the RBG the Project was the only cigar my wife has ever told me stinks. I thought they were pretty good though.

Bought a box last year, not as good rott, somewhat harsh. Slowly gotten better, okay yard/golf gar.

Much prefer the Project.

To each his own I guess. I've smoked Buesos for four years and have a box of Project toros aging for 2 years and a box of robustos aging for 16 months. I've been smoking cigars since 1972 and have never tasted a better stick. That includes CCs which I encounter every couple months or so. Sure hope others feel as y'all do so General doesn't ramp up the price!

The OR Genesis Toros were amazing.
Happy to report that the 2014 Genesis Robs and Toros, and even Muy Buesos are smoking great.
BTW, Buesos are not a General Cigar product.

Applause horse

I agree, with rest. Good smoke.
I also enjoyed the odyssey. Gifted by a fog that must have purchased them first released. Tan Cello.

I hear he's coming out with a new cigar soon called "Genesis: The Projects" (notice the "s" at the end).

Rumor is that it'll come already cut open with the filler tobacco removed, plus a free 40-ounce bottle of malt liquor!

I know that. I was referring to their acquisition of C.I.

So you can ridicule another as in post#7 but get defensive even when someone isn't addressing you?Shame on you
I may well have pedestrian tastes but I have enjoyed each Bueso I've smoked, and I can't say the same for any other band.

I ran out of those things long ago...

Bought a few boxes of the projectes and habanos and I treated them as the yard gars that they were.

I bought them because they were cheap af and people said they liked them.

Anyway, got sick of them (the habanos) so I didn't buy any more... (Never bought any more projects either)

The broadleafs were still alright, but it's kind of hard to fk up a broadleaf cigar... probably why he launched them first.

Oh sh17, didn't even notice the noob.

Yes, you're taste buds are trash, and no you're not supposed to smoke the bands.

And I'm sure everyone is happy to know that you have taken each Bueso in your mouth.

There, I've done my good deed for the day.

Nope, not at all. The projects are full of guys of all races who smoke altered cigars and drink 40-ouncers.
