Good morning, y'all. Starting the week with some hernia surgery, just to keep things interesting.

Coffee. but left the second half of the huge cinnamon twist from the donut shop run yesterday on the workbench next to the coffee pot before riding in to work.

Dag-nabbit and no good options on the base I work on now.

Happy Monday, folks! It is good to be alive..even at work...at a crappy job. ha

Just need to get through this week for a 4 day weekend, 3 of which will be spent in PA wader fishing.

17 Days, 19 hours and 17 minutes until my fishing trip in Canada! (at least until we hit the road)

NAB Coronado. Dining choices have dwindled to Subway, "Crack" in the Box, and Panda Express. The last two are where the McDs and Rice King were when I was last here.

The little sandwich place in the Q that was so good closed.

And as a retiree/slimy contractor I can't eat at the galley.

Snivel, whine, beyotch.....

I was stationed there quite a bit. My last tour was at COMNAVSURFOR. Wife still works there, at the BOQ.

That sammich shop was pretty damn good, but now it's used as the break room for housekeeping staff.

Unfortunately the base is just far enough out of Coronado to make going up there for lunch a PITA, and if I went to my favorite Mexican place down in Imperial Beach between the cervezas and food coma I wouldn't be back at work!

Waiting for my breakfast sandwich and my foofoo coffee drink.

That's what I ordered, been so long since I been to starbucks... all I really want is a breakfast sandwich though, no idea what to order from the as far as a drink.

He's like, what kind of foofoo drink you want, I said a hot foofoo drink.

He said, I don't get a foofoo drink... I said, oh ya? what you order.

He sais something like an ice tai latte or some crap..

I was like, sounds like a foofoo drink to me, get me something like that only hot, lol.

Can't go wrong with a Caramel Macchiato with extra caramel. Or if they can do a chocolate/peppermint latte, they are darn good. Usually they only have peppermint in the winter though.

I don't get in there often, either. I KISS..."One medium black coffee"...they used to give me a hard time and try to force the "short, grand, veni vidi vici.." language on me, ....or ask me if I wanted "room for milk"...wtf did they think 'black' meant....but not anymore...medium black coffee gets me medium black coffee without the lame attempts at condescension and mock pity

Just ate my breakfast sandwich, it was good. Probably the first time I got something from starbucks in several years.

They got me some mocha coffee thing. It's ok.

The dog is a male...and annoying as all get out. It is a lab and never shuts up or stops freaking out...and I most likely will have to sit in the back seat with it.

Don't really get along with his GF either...her and I butted heads pretty good last year.

Might have to be drunk anytime I am around her...ha.

When you say "butted heads" is that like drafter and tw swordfighting?...

Because she may not be a "girlfriend" in that case.

Sorry to burst your bubble...nothing like that...obviously just didn't get along. Wanted to kick her in the vag after a few days.

Wanted to drop kick the stupid dog too. I like dogs, as long as they aren't obnoxious.
