I feel sorry for the deceased young man and his family. But why would anyone want to go to North Korea? This seems problematic from the get go.

Perhaps because they somehow naively don't believe that Fatty Fat Fat Boy really isn't as bad as our elected officials and military minds paint him and his regime.....NO ONE in their right mind should be traveling THERE

Everything would've been just fine if he hadn't tried to steal something... I'm not saying for a second he deserved death, but the real question is why would anyone go there and then break the law...

Dude went to North Korea to see a different part of the world... nothing wrong with that.

Dude tore down a poster... college prank level stuff. Dumb... not punishment by death worthy but certainly dumb given he knew where he was.

Dude cried like a b×tch on tv and made our whole country look bad in a plea for freedom. Dumb.... also not punishment by death worthy... but I was ready to let him rot a year or so after that.

Now it looks like North Korea either neglected or mistreated him enough to kill him. Then they send him back to us when it's clear he has no more value to them. I would agree that they essentially gave a us citizen the death penalty for stealing a poster.

A strong leader would teach them a lesson. Maybe nuke Pyongyang or something like that. If they've killed off this prisoner I'd assume the other 6 are a list cause already. Take out their nuclear sites and turn the capital into glass. Problem solved.

lolol...this is more like how NKorea's nuclear weapons program will end, than the scenario all the "sky is falling...we better spend trillions more on ICBM/nuclear weapons" crowd says...

The NK's have been shooting missiles into the air with the accuracy of a 70 year old sperm donor trying to get the cup full...

What should we view as an acceptable success (failure?) rate? If they can launch 20....we needn't be concerned.... because only 3 might hit their mark?

Who's saying we need more nukes? We already have enough to destroy the planet. I think that's pretty much a non-issue, there.

I agree with drafter. Nuking other planets is important. Maybe we should build a giant space station the size of a moon to shoot lasers at planets to destroy them. That's probably the best option.

Just wondering what a $1.000.000.000.000 stimulus package would do for the economy? How would such an expenditure affect the unemployment numbers?

Whether that amount gets doled out in social give away programs or swallowed by the black hole of the military industrial complex it will still stimulate the economy. If we are going to spend the money, I for one would rather see a strong military than more dole outs with nothing to show for it.

Well dip me in sh*t, and roll me in cracker crumbs... Wow.

I dunno if that much money is necessary, really. Upgrade the heads and the delivery system on the ones we have and maybe some insurance in the technology department that we'd still be able to hit what we're shooting at.

That's just nuckin' futts.

This is my biggest problem with Trump, everything else he's doing is cool, I'm fine if it turns out he colluded with Russia, I'm fine with the changes in dialogue with Cuba, I'm fine with him getting all the arabs to gang up on Qatar, but to force a Trillion dollar infrastructure overhaul on the shoulders of American citizens, that is not what I voted him into office for. Infrastructure projects are always cut at a loss and the taxpayers must foot the bill.

You should demand the electrical grid be updated. The East coast and the West coast could be knocked out in their entirety if a few specific places are knocked out. It is an overloading cascading effect. Remember when much of the East coast was out of power a few years ago? That's what happened. Fortunately terrorists have not been sophisticated enough for this type of attack or at least we have been lead to believe that they are not. The grid should also be hardened to withstand emp.
