Ah, looked on the Paypal forums and it says that the charity must have the option on their website with the PP Donate button which I just tried and it is not capable of doing monthly payments. It's wierd that some of you are able to do so though. Paypal is a little messy for stuff like this I guess.

So how do we go about setting up a monthly Thank You? I've been all over PP, but can't figure it out......Frank is good with words........I'm pretty good with a wrench, but from what I gather neither one of us is very good wit the 'puters Not talking

When I set up the auto-payment on PP, I had accessed PP from the OPFTH webpage. It gave the option of a one-time or recurring payment, and then you could select the frequency of the payment and the day of the payment. Don't know if that is still an option. I have only adjusted the amount of payment over the last couple of years.

Did you do it from the just give option?

I think so Shawn. IIRC the key was to agree to multiple payments once on PP. Most choose a single payment option.

i have no issues with this, extending out to 7.9.17. it helps out the people that are planning on getting out of town for the holiday and are currently busy, and saves others a time crunch when we get slammed on our return to a 3 day work week.

will try to get a cigar donation out in the next day or so as well

updated from over the holiday. if you donated during that time, and i did not list you, please let me know.

as gummy pointed out, this does in fact run through Sunday, the 9th, so plenty of time to send out any packages or get some donations out.

I am playing around with Paypal & the OpFTH site to try and figure out the monthly donations, but have not been able to get it yet when it will automatically repeat. maybe it will be an option after funds fully clear. i have asked my OpFTH paypal expert thou.

Apart from the business details, hope everyone had a great Independence day weekend

Settle down, it'll happen when it happens. You'll get your fair share and probably more than you deserve like the rest of us.

This is not rocket science, y.
You don't have to be "like a genius" to figure it out.

1. Take two receptacles of your choice . . . hats, bowls, boxes, brown paper bags, etc.
2. Write the individual names of the donated prizes on a piece of paper and place in the 1st container.
3. Write the individual names of the people eligible to win a prize on a piece of paper and place in the 2nd container.
4. Randomly pick a prize from container #1
5. Randomly pick a name from container #2
6. Continue until all prizes have been matched up with a name.

as is customary i would recommend the names be written on $100 bills and the vessel be a top hat because we are a classy bunch

if it were winter time i would be able to oblige. however summer time is slower. you can provide me with the items, or settle for ball caps and post its.

The prizes have been drawn, and only 1 needed to be redrawn when with the first pick Jespear was the proud winner of a Jespear Prize (I know, im pretty damn good). Winners please contact the kind and generous prize providers via PM with snailers.

AGAIN, THANKS TO ALL THAT DONATED. Hopefully the later then usual start did not hinder us too much, but i figure late donations are better then no donations. Special shout out to smitty for doing the dirty work of relaying an verfiying.

Good news, will be setting mine up this weekend.

Much easier to do $5, $10, or whatever you can spare a month
