John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were two of the key individuals central to the Declaration of Independence ... they each served as ambassadors, vice presidents, and presidents in the early days of the country ... initially, they were antagonistic to one another and did not get on well, though in later years that changed and they became extremely friendly with one another and their correspondence is absolutely fascinating to read ... It has always been fascinating to me that both of them died on July 4th, 1826, the 50th Anniversary of the Declaration.

As we celebrate the 241st Anniversary, I can only wish there were more like them ...

Independence from tyranny does not take men of noble birth but rather the noble actions of common people striving for a classless society free of burdensome governance. It is the extreme blessing of these United States. As we navigate through the modern era we must not forsake what countless numbers of men and women have died for, the idea of freedom, that no king ever take hold of our society other than our creator and that the converging sense of globalism must accomodate the American spirit, not the other way around. We are the lampstand of the world. God Bless America and may it remain independent of all other nations, God bless our Families and provide us with the wisdom to raise our children with the intelligence and work ethic to exceed above all other countries, and God bless our American Military and First Responders that they vigilantly defend our freedoms. Happy Independence Day.

Somewhere a Kardashian farted. That's gotta count for something.

Thomas Jefferson was THE real deal. Take a tour of Monticello, read a couple of books about his life and read up on the Constitution, Bill of Rights and the Federalist Papers to see the wisdom that he help craft to birth this nation.

Just think...it was all about 13% taxation...they grabbed the rifles off the mantels and took on the world's superpower and won. Anyone really think the millennials have anything close to the Founding Fathers in their rank?

I do think millennials have greatness within their ranks as has every generation. Folks that were once considered revolutionary can become reactionary over time.

Get off my lawn may have once been don't tread on me.
