PAMPLONA, Spain – Two Americans were gored and several other people were injured Saturday during the second running of the bulls at this year's San Fermin festival in the northern Spanish city of Pamplona, officials said.

The regional government of Navarra said that a 22-year-old American man identified with the initials J.C. was in serious condition at a nearby hospital after being gored. Another 35-year-old American identified as B.H. was in stable condition after being gored.

Televised images showed a bull thrusting its horn into a man's buttocks before flipping him into the street, while another man's arm was impaled and he was dragged for several meters (yards) before the bull flung him off and stormed over him.

Three other Americans, two Frenchmen and three Spaniards — all men — needed treatment at the hospital for injures received during the frantic and crowded run of thrill-seekers.

About 25 years ago a buddy of mine tried to convince me to go with him and make the run. I looked him dead in the eyes and told him to go and that I'd be there cheering him on. But, there was no phugging way I was doing that. The las time a bull chased me was when I was an adolescent. My cousin and I spent a few hours in a mimosa tree until our grandfather was able to get his angus bull Smitty into a different pasture so we could climb down. We didn't get gored that day, but we both took one hell of an ass-whipping when pawpaw saw the smashed BB gun laying by the base of the tress. Didn't take but a moment for him to figure out that we were shooting the bull in the nuts with the BB gun.

Been chased by a bull once. Certainly not on purpose. One of the scarier moments in my life. No thanks.

Getting chased by the bulls sounds like it might be good exercise and combined with eating healthy snacks could be part of a comprehensive weight loss program.
Shouldn't this be posted in Hank's Healthy Living Thread?????

Lost a battle with a 1,000 pound Holstein steer. My dad yelling "Head him off!"

Running side by side, I got slightly ahead of him when he drove his lowered head into the middle of my chest. Thankfully he was dehorned as a calf. Nice purple bruise in the middle of my chest.

Once dad realized I wasn't dead, he laughed his ashe off.

We have a running of the bull event here in Dewey Beach. A guy dressed up as a bull chases drunk chicks in bikinis down the beach. I just sit, smoke a cigar and watch these girls bounce😁

I've had to jump a couple fences/walls to escape but they usually get stirred up trying to run them into the from inside the barn. Something about confined spaces I guess.

Here I thought it was a thread by Hank talking about jogging.

Funny.
