Since I am now disabled and not working I am looking for something to do. I am wanting to make a few cigar ashtray stands for the garage and my office here at home. I am needing some good quality and decent size cigar boxes for this project. I can not drive so going to my local shop is out. I have checked online and have found places to purchase such but I would rather line the pockets of my community here if I am going to pay. Also, what I have found online is just asinine for their asking price or well it is to me since I am on a limited budget but that could also be due to my igonranced'oh! . So with that being said, if any of you guys and galls out there have some nice quality wood cigar boxes I am willing to pay for a few if you have them to part with. I can send funds via paypal. If you can and are willing just PM me what you have and your asking price. Make sure you add the shipping cost as well. I live in Memphis TN 38115 to help figure that.

Thanks in advance

Ewok126

PS: again I am new to the community so if I have posted this in the wrong place let me know and I will move it.

sorry, E....I was of the same mind as Opel....I read this an hour after the recycle truck hauled off enough to fill a 30 gallon trash can. I'd have sent, but it would have been quite costly

Hank_The_Tank might have a ton of boxes since he gets cigars in literally "all the time" but he's really not the charitable type. Have you checked ebay? Sometimes you can get a lot of 20 or so boxes for a couble bucks.

Ya know....I sorta have a love-hate relationship with CL...I've gotten a couple great deals; and made one or two good sales. But, honestly, the time sucked up by the failed sales and botched buys has added up to....a LOT. Next time I have a couple/few dozen, I'll consider it

I talk to and text the people ahead of time... i usually blow off any contact from people who can't spell or speak in complete sentences... some of my sales have been to little old women who use them to collect little odds and ends... they come out with their husbands and meticulously count out the dollar bills from their little change purse after telling you what they're working on with them... i usually hook them up pretty good...

Bwahahaha just my luck, No worries man its all good, I would assume that shipping cost would be the same if it come from the community or from a reputable site. I assume shipping is shipping but you all know what they say about the word assume. As far as charity that is not what I am looking for. I am willing to pay for the boxes and the shipping cost. I just wanted to pass the funds to a community member vs a company.

Big Derp moment for me, I didn't even think that some of you ladies and gents might even list your boxes on ebay or CL.

It was not until just a few min ago after reading Opel's comment of selling on CL that it hit me. If that is the case send me a link or two if you have one. Again I am not looking for charity, I was just saying if I was going to pay cash for shipping anyway through a site like ebay or CL, I would rather pass the funds to my community members. Also I would think that in doing such I would receive better quality vs some monkey at a site company going mehhh its square F him its a box and me ending up with balsa or cardboard. Again, My brain is not what it use to be and I could be wrong in all of my thinking. I do greatly appreciate all the advice guys. ThumpUp

shipping a single box for me would likely cost what they charge you for 10 boxes... wait for a free shipping weekend to come up or just pay the $7...

Have a close friend or family member go to
Flea markets or garage sales...
They are generally sold for $1.00
No matter what the size....

Some super cool and very well made go for
$2.00-$4.00...

Of you want an "ASHTRAY"?

Get a Ramona Bueso SAMPLER box ASHTRAY
Made of wood , with a pull drawer and a removable glass ASHTRAY...they sell at CI ( the mothership ) for $39.99 , on C-BID they go for $16 low end-$23&$26
High end.

Mr Jones,

You know it is very very strange here in Memphis. I would have thought being here in the south, a flea market would be close by. Memphis is a fairly large place but flea markets are nonexistent. Me being from the hills of North Carolina I am very much accustomed to having a flea market. Hell, even here the farmers market consist of store bought vegetables and fruit that people buy at the grocery store then try to flip at the local fair grounds. See dang it...Now I am home sick........Its strange you should mention the Ramona Bueso. I have the sampler that is due to arrive tomorrow. From what I have read online if I understood that is. Its a pretty good smoke. Yeah the boxes are to make a floor stand for an ashtray. I am wanting to make a 2 foot higher in size stand that goes with the cigar motif in my office. Just something to tinker with. I do have an order of wood boxes coming from CI "the mother ship" I will be interested in seeing the quality of boxes they send. Again thanks for the info.

Best Regards, Ewok
