Specifics, Flynn and Manafort are now listed as foreign agents. They did not do this initially. At various intervene they said they had not met with Russians. On Kushner security clearance paperwork he listed no meeting with Russians, he has since amended his paperwork. Trump junior first said his meeting was about adoptions and he had no previous knowledge who he would be meeting with. Then he said it was about adoptions and sanctions. The email trail clearly shows he knew in advance that the meet was about dirt on Hillary that the Russians could provide. I suppose I should comment on naive and silly, how about meh.

Did they do something illegal? Flynn and Manafort not registering as foreign agents, maybe. Kushner not listing his meeting with a Russian, probably not. Sessions, probably not. The others highly doubtful. Did they lie, yes.

Then what's the big deal?

Are we to be a world full of Polly Anna's and believe that there isn't a politician or a political aide who has never told a lie, or provided misleading information?

Are we to believe that no politician or a political aide has ever met with a foreign national and/or agent received information about their opposition?

The fact that this is such a big deal is a joke. I would bet this type of crap happens very frequently. Not that I condone it, but for God's sake to call someone treasonous for doing what the people you support have done is abso*****inglutely redickyouless.

Jeez.....

That's what is so *****ed up with our nation. It seems everyone condones bad behavior as long as it's their guy/girl doing it.

What's your point? Do you believe that Bill and Loretta talked about their grand kids on the tarmac?

Jr. got caught in a lie. Obviously you're not so naive to think he's the first one to ever tell a lie?

I have not called anyone treasonous. I said they lied. Nor has Hillary ever been my people. I will say emphatically Hillary should not be president. I hope she fades away. I will say just as emphatically Trump is our president through election. If you do not think that people who lie at the very top of our government is a problem I don't think you will ever understand my point of view or that I will ever understand your point of view.

Sorry I wasn't clear. You never called him treasonous. I was referring to those in the media. My fault for not being clear about that.

I have a huge problem with those at the top of our government lying to us. For that matter, I have a problem with anyone lying to me.

Perhaps I'm just too cynical. Too me, it's wasted breath as I don't see it ever ending.

there is simply no reason, other than deflection, to be mentioning Democrats right now.

The main reason I feel so strongly about the lies is that in my opinion they have greatly damaged the Democratic party and the Republican party. I agree with you that nothing is likely to change.

No deflection meant Frank. I'm pretty sure we've been lied to. My point is it didn't just start a year or so ago. In my book two wrongs still don't make a right.

However, its a very slippery slope. Don't think for a moment that if anyone goes down, there won't be a giant sucking sound of many others on both sides going down with the ship as well.

I can't speak for any others on here, but, I, for one, am so critical of Trump, RNC, GOP-controlled Congress, etc...NOT because I support the left, believe the media, engage in partisan bickering, knee-jerk anything....I am critical of those mentioned (and especially of those who loudly defend them...or decry any criticism) BECAUSE I am conservative...BECAUSE I hold most conservative values.....BECAUSE I hold those holding elected office with (R) behind their name to a higher standard. And I feel extraordinarily let down.

The Obama Justice Department allowed the Russian lawyer who met Donald Trump Jr. into the country for a court case months before the meeting occurred, The Hill reported.

Moscow attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya was given special permission to enter the United States by then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch, but the purpose was supposed to have been to work on a court case in New York City, and her stay was supposed to have been limited to October 2015 to early January 2016, The Hill reported Wednesday.

But no one has been able to explain why Veselnitskaya was still in the United States six months later, when she met with Trump Jr., Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

According to Trump Jr., Veselnitskaya claimed to have damaging information on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, but their brief 20-minute meeting in Trump Tower instead focused on Russian adoption issues. Her purported information on Clinton was incomprehensible, he said.

Veselnitskaya herself says she was attempting to sway Trump to either overturn the Magnitsky Act, which punishes Russian officials and businessmen believed tied to the death of Sergei Magnitsky, whom the United States maintains was killed in a Moscow jail awaiting trial on phony tax-fraud charges.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was so incensed at the legislation he stopped Americans from adopting Russian orphans.

Veselnitskaya was seen around Washington during the same time she met with Trump Jr., The Hill reported. She attended a showing of an anti-Magnitsky film at the Newseum and can be seen in video footage sitting behind a former U.S. ambassador testifying about American-Russian relations before the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

She also attended a dinner with Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., chairman of the House subcommittee on Russia policy, The Hill reported.

"There was a dinner at the Capitol Hill Club here with about 20 people," Rohrabacher said, per The Hill. "I think I was the only congressman there. They were talking about the Magnitsky case. But that wasn't just the topic. There was a lot of other things going on. So I think she was there, but I don't remember any type of conversation with her between us. But I understand she was at the table."

Veselnitskaya was present with U.S. colleagues, including former Democratic Rep. Ronald Dellums, a friend of Rohrabacher's. Rohrabacher said he believes Dellums was a hired lobbyist to aid in trying to overturn the Magnitsky Act, or at least keep Magnitsky's name off a global act being considered by Congress.

"I don't think this was very heavily lobbied at all compared with the other issues we deal with," he told The Hill.

But such lobbying fell outside the limited time and reasons Veselnitskaya was granted permission to enter the United States without a visa.

She was allowed into the country to help with a Justice Department asset forfeiture case against a company owned by Russian businessman Denis Katsyv.

"In October the government bypassed the normal visa process and gave a type of extraordinary permission to enter the country called immigration parole,' Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Monteleoni told a judge Jan. 6, 2016.

"That's a discretionary act that the statute allows the Attorney General to do in extraordinary circumstances," he said. "In this case, we did that so that Mr. Katsyv could testify. And we made the further accommodation of allowing his Russian lawyer into the country to assist."

Officials in the Justice and State departments were not able to explain how Veselnitskaya remained in the country past her January deadline, The Hill reported.

Others who said they were lobbied by Veselnitskaya, who does not speak English, said they came away from those meetngs just as perplexed as Donald Trump Jr. said he did.

I sort of thought drafter was really appalled by Hillary's slime for the last several years rather than just following political spin from one side mixed with a little humor. His current deflections and love of all things Trump are showing me I may have been wrong. Wow just wow.
