35 year customer. Never shopped premiums.

My now 24 year old son got 3 tickets 5 years ago tomorrow. Speeding, stop sign, and lane change. Local cop loved ticketing high school kids, but it was his own fault.

Back then they had me sign a drivers exclusion agreement. I did so because he was headed in to the army, and needed to take responsibility and get his own insurance anyway.

Fast forward to now. He's back and working full time. Also going to school full time and deans list. No tickets since then (not really driving much most of the time). Doesn't drink a drop. He has his own car and his own insurance through USAA.

My younger daughter just bought a used car and we covered it under my policy. We get a call saying they are going to cancel our insurance if me, my daughter, and my son do not come in and sign another one for her car.

He doesn't want to drive our cars but there is no way I'll sign another and want the earlier ones rescinded.

They know he has other insurance and keep threatening to cancel our policy. I keep explaining to them that's not much of a threat to tell a 35 year customer if they don't do this they will have to go out and get cheaper premiums for the same coverage somewhere else.

While they keep threatening they don't initiate the cancellation.

POS State Farm.

The end. For now.

Not looking to cover him at all. Just not willing to tell him he's the only person in the world specifically excluded from driving our cars.

Started with Allstate... whole lotta suck. Switched to GEICO, and I liked them pretty well, until they raised my rates for no apparent reason. Switched to USAA and been with them for 12 or so years, I think.

Did one of your parents or one of your wife serve a day in the military? If so you are eligible.

Been with USAA since 75. Subscribers account is a nice little benefit you don't get with other companies. They also have a seniors acct that kicks in when you reach 65 which is another little perk.

With Statefarm since 81, wife came in policy in 92. No accident till she had 2 in same year 2 years ago. One not her fault. They raised her policy from 1200 a year to 4000. Dicks, I called liberty through my job n got her same policy for 2000 with her record, no one else came close, I would change everything over to them but I'm still 500 cheaper all bundled

Well duh! Y'all are talking about insurance companies, thinking they care about you and not your payments and stuff. Not talking

Been with State Farm for forty years, for our cars, our home, rental houses, liability insurance and long term care policies. We have had covered automobile accidents, lightening strikes, a leaking dishwasher and a pipe burst. They also hired a great defense team when I was sued over an accident where my truck was loaned to a family member. So far, they have always paid and not raised our rates except when the state/area had too many claims.

What is even more bothersome to me is the lack of loyalty these companies are showing to long standing customers. It is obvious to me companies like Verizon and Comcast could give two giant turds about a loyal customer that pays their bills on time and only care about getting new customers to sign contracts. It's a shame that the loyalty does not work both ways. 35 years and they can't look past a minor issue like this without threats is disturbing to me and I would tell them no worries on cancelling me I'll find another carrier.

The way of the world is changing with loyalty and integrity taking the biggest hit and it is a gross way to run an economy imo.

I had state farm as my first insurance carrier. All they wanted to do was increase my cost every 6 months. I dropped them and never looked back.

Gotta wonder... If you've been with them 35 years without a major claim you're due.. odds are pretty high you're gonna hit them soon... Mellow

So if I flip a coin ten times and every time it comes up heads the next time I flip it the odds are no longer 50/50?

Never saw the result. I was driving 80+ mph saw him run out and dive low directly at my car. Condenser through radiator and frozen engine. Never saw where he went. I can still see his beautiful face.

Just got the cancellation letter on my daughters car. I'll move all three cars, the house and personal articles policies. They don't care.

Ia have never shopped insurance in my life. Is there an easy way and is this going to be a pain in the butt?

Every company is going to rake you over the coals. I'd try farmers if they're up in your area. Insurance is like curing one VD but then contracting another so then go with what's the most tolerable.

I shopped about 5 years ago... They told me because I had two claims in the past few years they couldn't help me... I didn't know I had filed claims... I made a couple inquiries to see if I was covered or not... Never did any paperwork or anything but I guess if you ask it's a claim... USAA... Mellow
