Wife and I are going in October and plan on staying for a week.

I really want to visit a farm or at least a factory. Going to be staying in Punta Cana. Also huge fans of chocolate, coffee, and rum.

Looking for suggestions on what I need to do or pick up while we are there.

Thanks guys

I think, but am not sure, that Punta Cana is relatively close to LFD. I know they've added tours but I think that's more seasonal. Someplace to start, at least.

if you are in punta cana go to don lucas cigars. it is a small factory. they will pick you up at your hotel and bring you back. they also have a run tasting room and a chocolate factory all on the same grounds. bought some of their cigars back in april this year. they give you one to smoke while you are there. they also have a nice size humidor selling all different brands. enjoy

^ Thanks for the suggestion. Looked them up and it looks pretty cool. Do they have a farm there too?

no farm but they do have 3 aging rooms. the other nice thing is it is free. it only takes about 2 hours or so to do everything. have your hotel call them the day you want to visit. there are others there but much farther and you would need transportation to get there.

Sorry bro, only thing I can recommend is a special type of resort that your wife would probably divorce you over. I hear it's worth every penny though.

LFD is 45 minutes from Punta Cana. I was there in February this year.

I'm heading to Costa Rica this Thursday-Sunday. There's an LCDH 2 miles from where I'm staying. I'll try not to empty it out.

While I love going to LCDH locations they are always more pricey than just about any other retailer.

I like the guarantee of authenticity but quite a premium

Well in those areas it's best not to question and just do LCDH or buy a custom rolled from that region at some small boutique.
