You didn't have to vote for him or anyone else you didn't like. This isn't North Korea or Venezuela. d'oh!

IF? If a frog had wings it wouldn't bump its ass when it hopped. America HATES the carpetbagging Clintons. She stole an election and then thought people were going to select her over Trump.

America and the Electoral College got it right.

Next time don't run a Clinton and you might win!!!

We're probably a couple elections from another Clinton ticket. Don't let your guard down when it comes. I'd be that Chelsea will be a formidable candidate.

On a related note...I was thinking the other day....that perhaps Biden was a big winner in the last election. If HRC had won, she might've settled in for two terms and then it would almost have to come back to the R's. Now, Biden's a shoo-in in 2020. Don't tell Bernie

Biden would've won. That idiot chose not to run. Now he wants too? He'll be too old and most likely will have Clinton as a running mate. That fool won't win. He had his prime opportunity and let the nation down. He has a hand in all of this mess too. Everyone forgets what a gaffe a minute that moron is while trashing the Tweeter-In Chief.

I just stayed home in protest. I'm glad the c@nt didn't win and take great satisfaction in her loss. Nothing makes me happier than crushing your enemies, seeing them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women*!

Ya, I was hoping Johnson would have been a better candidate, but that guy was too much of a clown to take serious.

I was pretty much an anybody but Clinton. My theory was that someone with way too little experience was better than someone that was too pro.

Clinton is too dangerous, she knows how to play the game a little too well for my liking.

What has Trump done???

Exactly! Nothing is better than too much.

However, illegal immigration is down (from rhetoric alone), and... a few executive orders got rolled back... and that's about it. I would say if we can keep this pace, we'll be in pretty good shape.

Less is more.

Back on topic, I thought the mooch would have made good tv, lol.

I just didn't like the guy. He was like Chris Christie lite. Thought he could swear his way into America's heart...well he got his.

Where's Christie? Lying on a beach by himself? At a baseball game with nachos trying to bully someone?

Put a fork in them both.

Yep....I know, I also know that people that hate HRC thought that was a vote for her and vice versa. Can't stand Trump. Can't stand HRC. Refuse to hold my nose and vote lesser of 2 evils because I didn't see that there was one. I've also never just NOT voted. I've voted for everyone from Nader to Perot. I vote...period.

The ban on terrorists coming into the country was good, but that got shot down by some liberal judge.

The wall was a good idea, but I hear they're leaning more towards a fence. I liked the idea of making Mexico pay for it.

Going after Hillary sounded like a good idea, but we all knew that wasn't going to happen.

Rolling back the trans in the military was a necessity... is that done yet... oh ya, waiting for protocol

I really liked the having lower taxes for pass through businesses... not holding my breath on that one, I'll believe it when I see it... this is one I hope I'm wrong on, he did get this passed didn't he, DIDN'T HE?!?!?!

However, politics is more entertaining now, I guess he did do that, lol.

So I might have missed something, what has he done again?

Healthcare?

That's really low in my book and the GOP exposed themselves. 7 years to get a plan hammered out...said they did...had many...voted 63 times to have it slapped back by the Kenyan King...said they had to have the House, got it...then said they had to have the Senate, got it...said they had to have the White House, got it BARELY. Now they have a President that will sign what they voted 63 times on and a handful of RINO's disparaged their "accountability". No, they got exposed. McConnell says we should just move on...let Obamacare be the rule of law. What leadership. I still would like just a handful of our Founding Fathers to see and be alive now to witness what they would do with this group of do-nothings. 7 years they wasted their time, our money and our effort to get bull$hit taxation ripped away from all of us.

Now is the time for the States to take back their power from these do-nothings. Form the Convention of States and get just 23 to put term limits on the board. Just like the military...move up or move out. End the salaries, pensions, healthcare for life...all of it. These do-nothings aren't going to vote for term limits. The President has them. They should too. Matter of fact so should the Supreme Court. Make it a 12 year term. Enough is enough already. Time to take it all back...all of it.

The US Supreme Court is a pretty big deal. Trump's victory in the election will change the trajectory of politics and policies in the US for the next 2-3 generations. He put one on the bench already, which gives a clear majority to conservatives.

With the age and ill health of a couple of liberal justices, Trump will have another shot during this term, and if he can somehow survive and win a second term, maybe one or two more, putting the strongest ever conservative majority on the bench.

If he accomplishes nothing else, this will cement his place in history.

Unless DMV's rational suggestion for term limits in Congress and the USSC is implemented...

I wouldn't give credit to Trump for that. I would say the arrogance of Obama and Hillary get the credit for this one. They were so sure that Hillary was going to win that Obama didn't put a judge up.

If he were to win a second term and get to put another judge up, you can give him credit for that one.

Obama nominated Merrick Garland in Feb 2016, 10 months before the election. GOP controlled Senate ignored this and did not hold one advise and consent hearing...

Oh ya, I remember that now. I didn't know that about the 3 year rule, learn something every day!!!

Still can't give Trump credit though, with that new knowledge, credit has to go to congress :)

He takes credit...it is always listed among his long list of "accomplishments" as President.

In truth, when US history is written, the President when a Justice is appointed always gets the credit, mostly because he decides who to nominate, regardless of the political climate at the time,

Ya, the president gets credit for all kinds of things they had nothing to do with.

Like the dot com boom and the giant surplus Big Willy got credit for... that had nothing to do with him, but he got credit for it.

calm down, buddy...I was merely helping a brother out...bgz forgot that Obama did nominate someone rather than wait for Hillary...

BTW Ant: what do you consider to be a reasonable amount of time for the opposition (Dem or GOP) in the Senate to ignore a President's nomination for a SC vacancy?

I'm not Anthony...but they shudda at least had an up or down.

If it was a President...it goes immediately to the VP.

If it's a member of the house there is a smooth passage that the seat is filled.

So...while this highly charged political and volatile decision went unanswered...the President did NOTHING with his bully pulpit to secure his pick consideration. It's like everything else he ever did..."Present"...that is all.

To this day there are those that still admire the guy. I ask "For what?". The debt? The wars? The broken promises? The civil unrest?

Good question. Don't really have a good answer. It's gotten to the point now where politicians make choices, not for the good of the country, but for how much political capital they can gain.

Good answer: the longer the better when our party controls the Senate and the other party's President is nominating...

Sad.
Really.
