After seeing Hanks choice of "Fine Cuisine" I decided to do a little research in the space time continuum database. According to the database there is an upcoming vector on 2 possible time lines.

Time line 1 - Hank is going to acquire if he has not already ... The Diabetus

Time line 2- Hank is going to have to call Danmdevries to see if Dan can get him a deal on a Heart Cath and possibly set him up for a 2fer deal on getting a Heart Cath and a CABG. (Note) if this time line takes place there will be complications due to having.. The Diabetus

I personally think this is a good betting opportunity. Buy in will be one Box of My Fathers and One Box of Opus X. The pot will be split among those that chose correctly.

Hank If you should get in on the bet as well and should not make it through the upcoming Time Lines. I will keep your ante for prosperity sake. Anxious Anxious Anxious Anxious Anxious Anxious Anxious Anxious

The only thing I like better than honey and ketchup is baloney and whipped cream, but we haven't got any.

don't know how weird it is but when young I used to love melting cream cheese on several things...macaroni, french toast, fried matzah...

You can never go wrong with cream cheese. Mix a block up in homemade nanner pudding.

I don't quite know what to make of this thread. I can't even see the opening post, but I must admit that I silently chuckled at the immediate abuse tossed Hank's way. But, despite myself, I can't help give him props for starting a thread that generated discussion and humor....and that he resisted trying to come back with stupid-sounding insults...at least not in the posts that you other fools have quoted.

As to food combinations...nothing really surprises or bothers me...two quotes come to mind;

One day in the Chiefs' Mess, the Senior Chief Stewburner asked the Senior Boatswain if he liked the meal. Boats replied, "IGAF, as long as it makes a turd."

And, as my grandfather used to like to say, "Mind your own business...It's all going to the same place."

Actually...

...when I was a baby, I fell down a flight of 15 steps while in my walker and landed on my head. Luckily for me, the floor was concrete.

...also...I was born a smurf, cord wrapped around my neck 3 times. They didn't think I would make it.

So there you go...

I can attest the peanut butter and syrup is actually pretty good. I learned that one from my wife.

Normal where I grew up in Illinois, but not anywhere else I've found is peanut butter sandwiches with Chili. Many think that's weird, but I think its good.

ABT= Atomic Buffalo Turds. These are a must for a BBQ get together or football night with friends.

Here is the link for those who would like to try them. I tend to cut the cap of the pepper instead of splitting them and cram everything inside and close the top with a bacon cap.

I'll always take my poppers breaded and deep fried. I hate all the bacon wrapped stuff. It all tastes the same.

Would just as soon just grill a small chunk of bacon off the slab.

I used to make a ton of dip with cream cheese. Pecan logs with pimento and crap like that. Philedelphia rolls were my favorite sushi for a long time, we'd always do queso with velveeta, cream cheese and rotel. Most of the time I would use cream cheese as a substitute if we ran out of velveeta and sour cream but I made a lot of good stuff with it.

meant to comment on your earlier sour cream post.

the two generations that preceded me loved a meal of vegetables and sour cream. I seem to recall I ate it as a young kid, especially on Sunday nights, but forgot all about it.

I definitely remember putting sour (soured?) cream on blintzes, and sometimes on potato latkes instead of apple sauce.

Grand and great grandparents spoke of loving chicken fat (schmalz) on dark rye with a slice of onion.

Fat on bread is one of the greatest tasting things on the earth. As well as having sour cream with latkes.
