Where has the Weller gone

Evidently, Oklahoma

One of the cubs was in Oklahoma City for a couple of days earlier this week and while there, stopped in a couple of shops to see if there were any keepers not currently found on the gulf coast.

Of course, there was no Weller 12 but he found plenty of Weller Reserve and Weller Ancient. He said one shop had 12 full cases of Weller Reserve in the new and old labels stacked against the back wall.

He did pick up 1/5th of the Ancient for $23 and change which I would say is a fair price. This was the only prisoner taken.

I’m guessing the Reserve and Ancient were part of Buffalo Trace’s Weller mid-year release back in May. I have seen a few bottles of the Reserve in a couple of shops in Pensacola in the past month.

PS Neither to brag nor hijack, but did score 5 bottles of Eagle Rare 10yr last weekend when out of town. Impossible to find in my city. Anyone else have trouble finding?

Not that one...available here in both 750ml and 1.5's

Back in Texas, we can usually find the reserve pretty easily. I saw Antique here in Wyoming at the beginning of summer, but not lately. We will be going to Cody on Sunday and I can check the stores there if anyone wants me to

He was probably lucky just to get the one bottle through.

He had a bit of bad luck in Dallas when TSA confiscated his container of peanut butter. Cub was not a happy camper and let it be known. Thinks at this point probably were not going to go his way if he said much more.
