Hey all...I just shot an email to all of you who were in the league last year. I am looking for a headcount to see who is coming back and who is not. Let me know so we can start recruiting some new players if needed. Thanks....more to come.

ok fellas. I think enough time has passed. We have 9 back so lets open it up to either 1 or 3 more players for a 10 or 12 team league.

There was no trophy.

All payouts were made though on 1/3/17. Richard got $180, Adam $90, Gregory $30. All through PayPal.

Do you remember the ante info? I honestly don't know what we did last year.

Also, I appears that 10 have now renewed on Yahoo so we need a draft date.

I think we were 12 teams and paid in $25. We skipped cigars last year if I remember right. We paid out as above. 60/30/10 percent.

What we do this year is your call as far as I'm concerned. I'll go with the flow. You are commissioner Gordon.

Ok....The ante will be $30 each for a pool of $300. The payouts will be

1st - $180
2nd - $90
3rd - $30

The draft will be Sept 6th and 8pm EST. I will update Yahoo now....see you all at the draft.

This has been traditionally a 10 team league rather than a 12 team last year was the exception usually you would add a flex spot etc. when you have more teams and less players available that said I don't care it's just my Pinyan

Lots of talent available with only ten teams. Usually enough to have expanded standard rosters and still a bunch of guys on waivers.

I'd at least prefer a flex instead of a 3rd wr but if no one else agrees no big deal

Sounds like change for the sake of change to me. It's traditionally been a 10 team league (once or twice 12) for about a decade or more without issue. It's tried and true.

That said I'm one person one vote and can't pay as much attention this year. I'm also not opposed to change at all given a compelling reason other than I prefer it..... or other leagues..... the talent depth doesn't ring true given this has almost always been a 10 team league so that's no change (other than from last year).

I also accept things evolve and change necessitating adjustment. I'm not aware of anything changing.

My one vote is nay unless a good reason for doing so is present. So far I see none.

So you vote no because this is how it's always been. I think that's a fine reason actually. I play in 8-13 leagues per year for at least the last 20 years and am aware of all formats. I'm comfortable with all formats. This was merely a suggestion I wanted to throw out there.

The reason for the change in positions is a more dynamic active rosters with the large amount of talent that is available in 8 and 10 man leagues that otherwise sits on the bench and waiver wire. I'm not suggesting change for the sake of change anymore than you are suggesting not change for the sake of not change.

You've never heard of a flex? It's not a new concept. In fact qb wr wr rb rb te flex is the most used format in leagues.

I play in several leagues a year and have for decades as well. That's pretty meaningless to me because I'm sure most of us have played in multiple leagues for years. I doubt any of us know much more than the average among us. I know I'm no expert.

Some of my leagues have flex, some 2qbs etc.... not sure why you think I've not heard of these things. Weird. I've given no information from which to draw that conclusion.

This league has been my favorite for a decade or so. It's been the traditional non flex format all along. We have made some tweaks along the way when the majority wanted them, and assume we will in the future.

We get a new team or two every year and with them come new ideas (yours is not new and has been discussed in the past as well). No one is opposed to change if it makes sense. I've not seen a problem in need of a solution and am not inclined to support it unless I do. I'm not opposed to change and would go with the flow if others see it different. Flex is no big deal nor is it super intelligent or meaningful particularly in a 10 team league. And yes I've read many of the pro con debates that are chicken eggish and drone on never ending with no conclusion. I'm not opposed to it just see no need.

I am just one vote who has stated their opinion. Someone may want to switch to keeper, play 2 QB (particularly in 10 league), IDP rather than DST, kicker/defense combined, no defense, QBs get 6 rather than 4 for touchdowns thrown etc. meh we consider them and if that's what most want that's cool by me. We could do all kinds of changes every year and they have been on the table.

I'm not the league. Personally I'd need to be convinced of the need or how the change would better the league. It's just how I think. Others may think differently. Meh. Let me know how it plays out lol. I vote nay but could change my mind if given a good reason/rationale. This has just been my favorite league year in, year out. It's worked and it's usually very competitive.

I also realize the decisions have been made,but just wanted to throw my two cents in.....I agree with gummy about the flex player,this will be the first league I've been involved with that won't have a flex position
Also,I'll be at work during the draft,and unable to participate......will there be an option for the draft for the puter to make my picks?I've never been involved in a draft where I wasn't present so I'm not really sure how this will work.
