Hi all,

If you had a chance at a j. C. Pendergast cabinet humidor (Single door) with maybe working humidifier for $350 or buy a cooler and make a large coolerdor...? I have three largish humidors, but thought I might want to step up to a cabinet... Or spend the money on cigars :)

350 vs 60 bucks. Thats 290 bucks in cigars in the coolerdor or you can just look at your old ones in the cabinet.

If that cabinet is in good shape, aesthetically AND seals well...I'd jump on it. That's quality humi that will last you forever. Getting a working humidifier thrown in makes it all the more worth it. Don't even hesitate. No way you'll regret it unless there's seals that are shot.

I got to roll with hank and smoke on that one. If I could afford that just for looks and crap I would not need to be on Cbid. I could just go to my shop and buy my cigars lol.

Padrons or humidor? That is the question.

Good points made in this thread. I will have to think on it and also go see the unit, Maybe it will be a broken piece of $hit. Will make the decision easier. Pictures can make anything look good.

A box of Padrons (or two, even) will be gone in a couple months. On the other hand, you'll still be using the humi in a couple decades.

I do agree with this point, I am still using a CAO CX2 leather wrapped humidor I bought 11 years ago. It would have to go, I got the cabinet.

I'd get the smokes. They will give you more pleasure than a big ass monolith of a humidor. While this humidor will look nice it pails in comparison to having a relaxing time enjoying a first rate cigar. fog
