Unwittingly, Trump has given the Dems a big reprieve from the possible consequences of a rare, historic occurrence when one party controls all three branches of government: GOP controlled Congress, GOP control of the WH and GOP majority in the USSC.

For progressives, he's been the answer for how to stop the GOP from pushing through much of their agenda.

Go President Trump...Cheers!

Had Hillary won, she'd be under investigation, or going through impeachment proceedings...and progressives would be much more outraged than with Trump at the helm...

Actually I've been thinking about the following.... haven't bought it yet... but it's a thought that is percolating

I do believe Obama is to blame about the resurfacing of some of the animosity between the races. I say resurfacing because it never went anywhere but was subdued on the surface. I do think as the first black president he felt obligated to right some wrongs in his view. I also think some viewed that as wrong in and of itself. Whether you think he went to far and over represented some of "them" rather than youz or not... some folks do think that. So it could be argued that he either set the argument or relations back, or simply brought them to the forefront depending on your view. Blame or credit.

It may take someone like trump to bring things to a head. Ironically he might very well have the opposite impact he thinks. And that could be good depending on your view.

I dunno.

Trump doesn't now and never did have a chance... even tho everyone has more money in the bank and more people are working.. he will be torn down no matter what he does... personally I'm fine with another Republican running against him in 2020 if it'll put an end to this crap... but I don't think it'll matter much.. it's cool to hate the Republican Presidents... Ironically this may prove to be true. Hillary was going to be a ****show of obstructionism. Now the dems have all the ability to point at everything and lay blame squarely on the reps.

Drafter. This has nothing to do with Republican presidents and everything to do with Trump being a dispicable person.

The sooner you stop trying to delude yourself into this sick little persecution complex you feel for the dumbest president in history the better.

Maybe this one will get elected.....

A Democratic state senator in Missouri is facing resignation calls for posting on Facebook Thursday that she hopes President Trump is assassinated.

“I hope Trump is assassinated!” state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal wrote.

Chappelle-Nadal eventually deleted the post, but a screenshot was saved and shared on Twitter.

In interviews with local outlets, Chapelle-Nadal said she regretted her post but not her anger at the president. She blamed her outburst on the president's response to the white supremacist violence in Charlottesville.

“I posted something on my personal Facebook and I should not have done that, and for that I am sorry for that," Chapelle-Nadal told St. Louis television station KMOV. "But I am not going to shy away from what caused that anger at all, I'm not going to shy away from that."
The Secret Service told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch it is investigating Chapelle-Nadal’s post.

Drater, that will be conveniently overlooked...or a plethora of excuses will be layed out as to why her disgusting comment was justified.

Sure it will. She should be immediately removed from office, but that'll never happen.

Everyone is going after her pretty hard but whatever

Certainly not overlooked. A small time politician in MO and you know all about it.

Well.... I don't profess to be the know it all that you are but...

BTW, so a Senator is a small time politician? Huh, by your take one would think she was just a town council member or something. As I said she should be removed or recalled if that's possible.

I'm tainted. I've worked enough with state reps and senators that I'm not impressed. On that I'm probably wrong.

Let me simplify it Mr. SSG wannabe who is pizzed at flunking the entrance anal exam and actually likes the squirm couch LOL

It's a thought I'm still fleshing out (using my fleshlight) but the stick figure version is

Obama may have set race relations back while people (his supporters) assumed the opposite and the spin was the opposite (ie many of his supporters viewed his election as a high water mark on race relations)

Ironically Trump may bring things forward although on the surface the spin would suggest otherwise...

in other words opposite outcomes not necessarily planned or intent

And no... I'm not sure I actually believe that.... just mulling it around right now. Thinking out loud, no conclusion at the moment. The reaction may prove useful and helpful.

I also think I may be trying to create logic where there may be none sort of like folks thinking trump is playing 3D chess rather than checkers when in reality he is randomly regurgitating bingo letters over his drool covered lip
