is there even the remotest chance NK wants nukes for the alleged reason we got into them...the ultimate defense weapon that one hopes will never be used.
In other words, a deterrent to being attacked by, say, the USA?

YES!!! and they will destroy the US with all their nukes!!!!

That's what they say publicly, but I am skeptical that they are as advanced as they claim to be... don't think they have the capacity to accurately deliver a nuke on any target that needs ICBM delivery....just the fact that we HAVE to believe them, as a worse case scenario, gives them leverage...notice that they don't release any detailed videos of their labs, missile construction sites, or actual weapons...this is kinda like Wizard of OZ crap...
