Well I got the 10 liter barrel filled today with a total of 2.6 gallons of Tequila. She seems to be sealed with no leaks. I am debating if I should try to sit this out in the garage where it gets pretty warm during the day which speeds up the process or stick with a cool place and let it just take its sweet time.

My son-in-law did this with bourbon last year in a smaller barrel, 3 liter I believe. He put in 3 fifths of Eagle Rare, 2.25 Liters, and put it in his shed. He lived in SW Michigan at the time and due to weather variations and evaporation lost a little over 1/4 liter. He said if he had it to do over again he would have just put it in his basement where it stayed a constant temp.

BTW, it elevated that Eagle Rare quite nicely.

Thank you for the info Thurson. Yeah that was a big concern of mine. I do not want to lose that much to the angels share. I think I will keep it in my controlled temp room where it stays cool and wait it out.
