Good afternoon all.....not long ago I was heavily into pipes....I drifted away from them, finding they were a lot of work.
Now some time later, I've entered the world of cigars. Having preferred the english pipe tobaccos and heavy perique and latakia blends, I've been focusing on smoking Nicaraguan cigars.

Recently an online supplier had a sale of Fonseca Arana cigars and I gave them a shot and bought a bundle of 20. I like them and found them to be enjoyable. Whilst smoking one today, I happened to focus on the band. It reads Fonseca Matasa.

I know Fonseca makes an anniversary Matasa and the bands of my cigars do not say anniversary on them at all. I thought all of the Arana cigars had the word IMPORTED on the bottom rocker. None of mine have that. They all say Fonseca on the top rocker and Matasa bottom rocker. The word Santiago is to the left of the "crest" and imported is to the right.

Any thoughts as to whether or not I received Arana's or another Fonseca line? Either way I like them, just wondering about what appears to be non Arana bands.

Best,
Rolo

I'm being captain obvious here, but does the pic, and possibly the description, of what the Online retailer showed when you bought them, match up to what you got?
(I'm assuming they still have them for sale, and there might be a pic there?)

Appreciate the responses....and thank you for the clarification regarding matasa.

BTW, the picture on the online merchant showed the word imported on the bottom rocker. All google images for Fonseca Arana show the same.

In any event, I thought it was interesting and I thoroughly enjoy the cigars.
