She is giving up her battle as of today. Her body has basically shut down and she can no longer take the pain and trauma. She is stopping medical treatment and will be moving to a hospice setting. I am very sad, but am at peace with her decision and understand why she is making it.

Tough. I feel for you.

My mom did the same thing in 2014. Quit taking meds and just gave up the struggle.

Brother I am so sorry that you both are going through this. I am glad to hear you are at peace with her decision. Know that your sadness is felt here as well. If you need an ear you know what to do. Any time day or night.

Oh man, that has to be tough.

Hospice is a good choice in this situation, I know several families that had a great experience using a hospice service.

Stay strong, Spey. Talk to her as much as you can, sit with her and hold her hand when you can't think of anything to say...I regret that I didn't do that with my mom or dad when their time came...

Been there a few times with relatives, that's always tough to go through.

Best thoughts for as easy a transition as can be had during this tough time Allen.

She is now in hospice care. I am sad, but that is selfishness on my part. I do want to see an end to her pain and suffering. Thank you all for the support you have and are providing us.

Spey

Preparing for my quiet time and wanted to check on your mother.

I’ll mention her and you this evening.

Thank you Mattie. She is near the end. As much as possible one of us is there with her. Don't want her to pass alone if possible.
